Does anyone use Google Adsense anymore?

I use to use Adsense a while back, but then somewhere along the line they started getting extra picky about my keywords not being Kosher with there "standards". Now all of my campaigns have been suspended for violating there terms. Does anyone still use Adsense or has Google gotten all Christian on us?

Yes I use them, but you have to use them on a clean site. That's always been that way. No swear words, adult content, naked pics, nothing. It's always been that way.

I'm turning my clean crossdresser blog into more of an adult one, and will be taking them off that. But I have several mainstream sites I use them on.

I started use adsense in november 2007, and now i make appx. $100/day with them.

If you meant adwords i am spending appx. $50/day on them, and the only thing you can't do anymore is to send the clicks directly to an affiliate link. Just build your own landingpages, and you should be good.

Damn that's good, I could live really well on that! I can only seem to make around 2 bucks a day on them. You must have several dozen sites you use them on.

I'm making some good blogs now that should do well for them, when I can find the time to make post!

I am having 18 norwegian blogs, and then a few feederblogs on blogger/blogspot. However, 80 precent of the income comes from just 1 of those blogs. All based strictly on SEO. (Most of the adwords are sent directly to sponsor landingpages though, and not to adsense sites/blogs).

That said, i picked up most of the tips i am using on my blogs from posts here at cozy made by Hammer in 2007

Well, I had them on my Bilinda blog, but just took them off today as I'm making it more of an adult one. But that one I was only getting like 80 cents a day!

It's starting to pick up in seo hits, but not much clicks. I don't see how I can put the ads any better in there??

Adwords cannot be used for "teen concepts" so if you're using them to promote teen or twink sites, you're SOL.

For a start, at your post.php pages, use a large block at the top of your post.

Match the ad colour with the rest of the site, that red color is giving me the creeps (red is allso assosiated with 'warning').

Remove the sidebar ad, that one will most likely give you 0 clicks/year.

You can have three cont. ad's + three link units per page. By using adman (plugin) you can put linkunits in the middle of your posts, wich give quite a good CTR.

Allso, be sure that the fling ad don't use nekkid, or topless, pic's on their ad's. That can cause a termination of your adsense account.

If i were you, i would slice the header, put a ad in on the right side instead of those two pics.

And, sorry for hijacking the thread... now, back to adwords

Thanks much for the advice theviking! I thought having a different color for the ads would get them noticed more.

I'll try to figure out how to put the ads in the post.php pages. I thought if I tried to put ads in the top of the post, then on your main blog page it will show 10 or however many post you let show, so it would go over the amount of ads allowed to show on one page?

I assume the way you describe it, it will only show when you click on the post. I'll also check out the ad plugin you mention.

Yeah that whole "teen concepts" excuse is just one of the reasons they gave me. I've used Adwords to promote busty Latin movies on Hotmovies.com. And apparently because they've got 1 category section out of 100 entitled "teens" and the fact that some of the movie description copy contained the words teens, thats whats setting off Googles editorial alarms. Another reason they gave was "unacceptable content". Hotmovies is about as mainstream as you can get, so Im assuming that anything having to do with adult material counts as unacceptable, and not just the "teen" stuff. Or another explanation could be they just dont like Hotmovies.com. I did a search for busty latinas and I found an Adword link to a review site that contained the same type of content featured in Hotmovies. Go figure. So lets just say im fed up with Google.

I just did a search for both 'busty latina' and 'busty latinas'. None of them wich have adword placements.

Care to tell what site the adword campaign was linking to.

I just did a search for "Busty latinas" now and it popped up as a sponsored link on the left side of the page. It was the second link down out of 3 links. Maybe its on a script to only come up sporadically. Definitely check this site out then compare it with Hotmovies. And if you can tell me why this one is allowed and my links to Hotmovies arent, you get the gold star.

I'd say because they have totally left out anything about teens, while you have not

On my site that I submitted to Adwords, I personally don't use the words "teens" or "barely legal", so im assuming their spiders are going straight through my website and finding the contraband terms on my affiliate itself. So im thinking that promoting Hotmovies on Adwords is a lost cause.

I switched to using 'coeds' instead of 'teens' on Adwords and it works fine.

Google stopped my adwords campain around a year ago because i have a teen category on my gallery pages, and i have not used adwords after that.
