Myspace anyone?

Several month's ago a friend/model that I work with invited me to join her myspace page, nice thought but I didn't have a myspace page. Figured, what the hell, get in the mix, join the party, go with the flow, etc..

Always thought myspace was just for kids, as well as it being a little played out by now, wondering if any of you savvy webmasters have one? Is it of any use with regard to marketing? networking? Or of any value at all?

I haven't dealt with it at all, thinking of deleting it, I didn't even set it up correctly, just my pic on a page with tons of ads. Anyhow, check it out Housekeeper's Myspace, just wondering what you all think...

I had one for a good while.

The quality of the traffic was very poor & ultimately my page got deleted, no warnings just woke up one day & it was gone (Apparently Myspace is anti adult even though I had nothing bad on there whatsoever just a link to my site which again has nothing adult really on it) Lots of my friends had their profiles / pages deleted in the same way... I decided not to do another account on there, too much time consumption with v little worthwhile in return.

This "Myspace" topic has definitely been covered on here before, it's worth doing a search to read all the previous feedback.

Yes I have one but I just have a link to one of my mainstream sites. It is worthless for marketing. It's only good for what it was intended for, contacting friends you know and so on.

It's too much effort for virtually no pay back. However, I've used it to make contact with various people in the industry that I need to speak with.

Not really worth it, like the others said, at least for promotional purposes plus it was on the news all the time for a while about "online predators". There's facebook for finding old contacts and shit like that but that also falls into guaranteed time waster category.

to answer your question, yes i have a myspace. Its for personal use though and i only link to my tattoo site. I have found it more useful for contacting long lost friends then anything else.

I have attempted myspace campaigns for porn traffic. Great volume but it never converts. I wouldn't waste any time on myspace if you are looking at it as a business potential.
