Hard to write text :(
I've never really had a problem writing before. I can write stories, essays, reviews, and so on.
But, put me in a position to make up fake forum posts, or write enticing "join this site" type text, and I'm stuck. It's like a huge mental block. Do I write conversationally, or should I write like a salesman? And for forums, good lord I'm having trouble coming up with good ideas for posts when there is nobody there but me to reply! augh! How do you guys do it? |

So your going through that new forum thing like me huh? Please, I'd be glad to join it and post, as long as you would do the same for me. I have a few from here that are helping me that way, bless them all!!
But I am 5 other people on my forum too. Yes it's hard, I try to not make them all one sentence post, lol. Also you have to watch that your not writing the same way on all of them, throw in some misspell words and slang. It helps to think up a personality for them. One of them for me is a big crossdresser who is in the closet with his wife. Another is a hick type out in the boonies. Yet another is a New York glamor girl named Cher. By thinking of them in those ways, they talk different and see things different, see? As for blog post, I always talk like a host, because you are. Your blog is yours, and your readers are your guest. Talking any other way seems fake. Like I say "hello everyone, I wanted to share a cool new site I found today that has bunny, a kinky babe with red hair!" Or if it's a post of a site you've done before I'll say "time for another hot post of bunny the big tit babe!" I also talk about how it has quality videos, bonuses and stuff like that, too many just describe the picture. Hope that helps, join my forum and I'll join yours, I don't care what it's about, I will fit in!!!

Write stories, essays, reviews, and other copy you are use to. Once there are participating members you can just interact with them like you do on this forum. The idea of treating a start-up forum like a blog I got while thinking of how hard it is to get one new members and how blogs can be done without comments or any reader participation. Also the scripts are somewhat similar. Will this strategy work? Don't know yet. This is just food for thought. I hope it helps. PS Another reason for treating a start-up forum like a blog is that if it fails to grow as a forum you still got yourself a blog. |

Yes Josea you can do that. In fact I know someone who uses her forum as nothing but a big blog, posting a picture, some "check this out" text and that's all.
I have made post about what my blog post of the day is, or new things I'm doing in the site. Anything to put something in there. I think my forum is coming along ok, I'm not worried. Time will get it busy.

Bill and Oceania, you have private messages.
I don't get search engine traffic to mine... because it's a forum for paysite members. I think it will be even harder to get it going because a lot of them aren't there for the community aspect of it all, they just want to get off and leave. However, I've found that there are a few people that do enjoy getting to know people, chatting with the models, and such, so I'd really like to get this forum going. |

Hey, send me some. I'll post a few as well...
Same thing for blog comments. Actually, that would be a great topic on the boards, yes? How we can all help each other with blog comments and such? I am up for it. -- Right now, I have one blog up, one in the works, and another on the idea board with a friend of mine. The one in the works is mainstream, the one up is erotica, and the one on the idea board is porn. Yeah, I like to experiment. Luckily, not all of the content and such comes from me, LOL!

Glad to see the copywriting area of the biz expanding.
It's a challenge and fun and you get paid at the same time.

It's pretty awesome if you have the skill to write because then you can always pick up some extra work here and there if needed. At least lately with all the blog activity, that's how it's been.

You're right Monica it's grown by leaps and bounds. It's the kind of product that you see results immediately with. Lots of webmasters are catching on to it and that's why there's such a big demand. Prices for writing aren't high enough to dissuade purchasing the service but prices have to rise to make it worth the writer's time and effort. Too many webmasters wanting it too cheap and that's their downfall.

Most creative employees are not paid the going rate in this business... or any "business" for that matter. It's unfortunate, but it's how that type of thing works.
