Lightbulb Qs: Free sponsor/affiliate content, blog "host", and bandwidth

Hi all,

Woo. I made sure to read through ALL of the Cozy Classroom materials on www.cozyacademy.com before posting this thread so that I may ask a few educated questions about sponsor content.

A blog sounds like an excellent idea as I can link a few galleries to it and submit to TGP and the like. I am actively learning basic web design (HTML, XHTML, CSS, etc.) through some free online resources and books that I picked up. This will help me create some crisp, clean looking galleries from scratch that load fast.

I have a domain through www.godaddy.com and a host through www.mobwebdesigns.com, which cost me around $20 for the whole package deal for the year. The host said it has "Unlimited Data Transfer" included in the host package.

Does this mean that I can rest assured that my bandwidth limit is unlimited as well? I really don't want a fat bill to come in for the bandwidth, as most seasoned webmasters can understand of course.

Now the challenge is getting good free content sponsors and affiliates so that I may create many many galleries and post/link them on my adult blog. Do you guys (or gals) know where the best resources for free adult content/sponsors are located?

What are the best adult blog "hosts" you recommend?

Much of the free content that I have found seems to be of low quality and/or very dated by today's standards. This is very frustrating as I want to provide quality free content to help make money for myself and some trustworthy sponsors.

Please help with your suggestions.

Thank you,
man007

first of all i think you are confused on how a blog works.

You host the blog on your own server using a free blog software like wordpress.

you get your content from sponsors, but no one can give you advise on sponsors as its different for all of us. I can't sell Indian girls to save my ass... but some webmasters can do great with the same content. That's where traffic quality comes in.

On the other hand i am quite successful with the over saturated niches like teen and lesbian which most webmasters would tell newbies to stay away from those niches.

Thanks balls_deep. Your replies are always very helpful and informative.

I have heard some really good things about Wordpress. My mission now is to discover a couple niches that I like, find some good free content/sponsors within those niches, create some galleries, and start to work on a blog.

This is so exciting.

Thanks again,
man007

I suggest you pick one niche and work it heavily. You are far to inexperienced to be diving into multiple niches at first.

look for something unsaturated, stay away from the general over saturated stuff like teen, lesbian, milf, and hardcore unless you break them down to a specific sub-niche like say... reality milfs over 40 or MILF lesbians seducing teens.

Looks like I have some niche research to do in order to narrow it down to one. I like Asians and ebony; those might be niches worth doing if I can somehow do galleries of exotic girls. How about a niche such as big natural boobs? That might be a bit saturated even though I would have a lot of fun and dedication building big tit galleries as I am definitely a breast man.

Oh, I just had an idea. I rarely see exotic girls with big tits on the TGPs. Most of the galleries are of Caucasian girls. Maybe I could create a few pages of Asian, ebony, Latina, etc. girls with big boobs. Either way, I will get a list of niche ideas of potential softcore galleries and narrow it down to one or two niches.

There is a software program out there called Market Samurai (free 40 day trial) that actually analyzes traffic and niche markets available at www.marketsamurai.com Check it out. I am using this tool for the Thirty Day Challenge (www.thirtydaychallenge.com) that I am working on at the moment.

Thanks for your suggestions and general feedback.

Good q&a thread all around.

IMO, and as BD said, I think that the tighter the niche, the better the return, yes; but you also have to figure in how many people are into that niche and if they already know about your sponsors.

As an example, if things like bestiality and scat were legal in the US and you had sponsors to promote them, you would probably do with a great conversion ratio. Now factor in how many people are actually into bestiality or scat? Not a lot (I hope).

On the other side of the coin, most heterosexual male porn consumers loves "teens", lesbians and big boobs, so there's stiff competition as to how to market your best sponsors in those niches, if they can even be called niches.

Asian girls with big tits are of course as everyone knows a rarity so that's not a bad idea. I wish I had suggestions for some of those sponsors wit that type of content, I don't really do the ethnic stuff much so I'm the wrong person to ask.

One more thing: If you're finding adult sponsors content to be dated, you're not looking up enough porn. I'm having a somewhat related problem; once your sponsors become more popular and get more affils and get more heavily branded it gets harder to make $. Bear in mind as you probably know that most pay sites use non-original content that you can buy yourself and that's why you see the same thing over and over again. I still make some cash from non-exclusive sites but original content sites are your best bet under one condition: only if they aren't as well known yet. My two cents.

Adult blogging

Hey peoples. Just a quick two-part question about blogs before I get too deep into blogging:

What are some good adult blog hosts for making money or is it best to use my own domain/host to create a blog using Wordpress software?

I have a domain and hosting package all ready to add content to. Services like Thumblogger provide free blog hosting. I was told that free hosts are bad for making $$$ though. I am a bit confused at where to begin my blog. The ideas are there, it is just that I need some advice on blog hosting.

First off, I think I need to learn Wordpress and then create my own blog and plop it on MY personal domain/host. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thank you for your time.

That says it all, do just what you said there and forget about the free hosting.

if they dont, they will close you out after a couple of galleries get listed on a bigger tgp..

Thanks peoples for your feedback. Yes, www.mobwebdesigns.com does offer annual adult hosting. They have www.ladydstardust.co.uk hosting via a package I bought on eBay through www.stepbystepbusinesses.com The hosting only cost me $9.99 per year.

Eventually, I plan to upgrade to a monthly hosting package once the traffic and money start flowing to my webpages and bank account respectively. Anyways... Wordpress looks like a fairly simple program. I am really excited about designing a blog. Writing is a passion of mine, so a few words about my favorite subject (naked chicks) comes natural to me. Throw up a few sponsor pictures, some spicy descriptions, and hopefully the visitors will come (haha, pun intended).

Thanks again for your comments.
