Need help for tube site

Newbie here, I found the Cozy Campus by chance and really liked what I read. But I couldn't find anything covering Tube sites, and have some question that maybe you guys can help.

Would I need a program like this?

I all ready have First Page Plus, so I'm not sure if that program would help or if I need just a script to set it up on First Page.


What hosting sites would you recommend?

I've been looking at Hostgator and it looks pretty good. Ideally, I would like to start two Tube sites. One for Porn, and the other for humor and other random stuff.

You need to do a lot more research before starting a tube site and considering how many there are already it won't be easy to start a new one. The only way you'll ever get any traffic is by accepting illegal content from submitters so you might want to Google the $25 million lawsuit filed by Vivid Entertainment against PornoTube.

Yeah, you came to the wrong place for any help on anything to do with a tube site. I'm looking into it myself and have been, and when I know a little more will maybe share some info.

This is a great place to learn new shit if you don't know anything though.

I've seen a few people doing some creative stuff with legit style tube sites. There's options there for clever people but it's not for beginners.

But like Hammer said, if you think you can just launch a tube site and magically create traffic, you're going to be disappointed. Even if you stuff it with illegal content.

I understand, it takes time for it to build. I'm thinking the first 6 months would be pretty bare, then about a year down the line it should pick up. So long as during those first 6 months I can cover the costs of hosting, and I should be fine.

I heard this too, and even been advised by sponsors not to take that route.

But I can't help wondering if this is going to end up being a routine (almost necessary) hub model down the road.

A lot of people claim to be converting MGP's over (unless that's just people yaking).

I still can't understand the business end of it.

I think you're missing the point. You only make money from advertising if you have traffic and in the case of a tube site you'll need a buttload of traffic to make money. Of course, you won't have to worry about bandwidth until you have traffic anyway. The question is can you make enough to cover the costs even if you do get a lot of traffic and based on what I've heard from tube owners, it's not likely, especially if you're running a legal tube site. Surfers aren't interested in watching free 2 minute clips so they won't use a legal tube site when they can go to Tube8 or one of the big illegal tube sites and watch full length 30 minute videos for free.

If you are eager to send traffic to a tubesite to check out how the traffic is, there are many sponsors that let you send traffic to their tubesites, and even get traffic back.

Why hassle, when you can take the easy route....and don't even pay for BW.

I have never bothered to send traffic to a tubesite myself (i hate to waste good traffic), but i belive atleast Wegcash and Occash offers this (and i am sure, many more...just look around a bit).

I attempted to load some of my videos to one of the Tube Sites. I have no clue when they will be shown. I am starting to think they are lost in space.

Also, You Porn has changed their videos stream times. Use to be 2-5 minutes with the occasional 30 minutes. Now its all in the 15 to 30 minute range.

It appears they are trying to compete for the free porn crowd. How do you make money that way?
