Paid domain and hosting

If I get a domain and some hosting from www.godaddy.com, how do you recommend I go about making a basic paysite?

I am so confused as to which direction to go. Should I buy content as well?

I would like to be able to have my own paid domain and a few hosts as well as pay back the costs of these items with the profits I make on the sites.

I suggest you market other peoples sites and learn rather then trying to jump into the paysite arena.

Um, you don't. I think you need to step back and figure out just what you want to do. Most don't ever open a paysite. Did you mean something different?

A paysite takes thousands of dollars and all your time. What most do is become affiliates of sponsors and push their sites. I assume that's what your talking about.

So how are you going to do that? A blog or two? Free sites? TGP's? What niche are you going to use?

I'm not putting you down, just saying you need a more clear picture of what you want to do and even more clear about how your going to do it. Running a paysite on godaddy is a no go, but since you say you don't have much $$ to put into it you must mean something else.

One domain. One host. Thank you. I have researched the industry quite well and created a free site a while ago. Actually buying a domain and host is a big step for me though, so I want to make sure I get it right the first time.

No, balls recommends them. Myself I would get one from ATCI, where I get my own hosting. But they will cost around 24 bucks a month I think. I prefer to pay the extra for a better host.

Well that's all up to you. Lets be real here. Most never make a dime off adult, they give up before they ever get one sale.

The others hang in there longer and make a little. Most take 6 months or so to see a sale, but it all depends on what your doing, how good you are, how your trying to do it.

Then once your good and getting lots of sales, you need to upgrade to a better package. Your basic plan will be fine for your first 6 months. Can't say more than that, the rest is up to you.

you want to keep your domain registration and hosting seperate or you will never actually own the site.

i suggest registering the domain name with godaddy, they are highly reputable.

then just go find a host that allows adult sites.

for support i reccomend atci

for massive storage and bandwith i recommend godaddy

Thanks to your expert advice, I just purchased a domain name from www.godaddy.com for under $10. ($7.15 Thanks to promo codes)

Also bought a separate host "Adult Web Hosting: - Lady Star Dust only $9.99/Year" from http://www.mobwebdesigns.com/hosting.htm

This domain and dirt cheap host should definitely be a good start for me so I can get a solid foundation to advertise free content from sponsors.

I shall continue to read all that Cozy Academy has to offer to hone my knowledge skills before I spend anymore money.

first off your host is in the UK, are you?

secondly i've never seen such a good offer, it has too be too good to be true or everyone would jump on it.

To tell you the truth, I don't actually live in the UK. Is that going to make a big difference?

The "unlimited" web space actually turns out to be about 100MB of space. This is enough for me to d!ck around with a few galleries. It is a far cry from unlimited although I only paid $9.99 per year for hosting package. Pretty darn cheap if you ask me. Naked Hosting looks even better although I am still an uber-newbie and may wait a few months til I get the hang of traffic and all.
