Forum question

When starting a forum, how does one encourage members? I've seen lots of new forums will almost no members and the owner making many silly posts trying to get people to join so I assume that this must be a hard thing to get started.

you assume correct, forums are extremely difficult to break into.

Yes, there are only two ways to get one going, and I'm in the middle of getting one going myself.

1. you have lots of friends that will post to help you out.

2. You create fake members and become them, posting to each other. I am doing that, and so far it's working. I have around 12 real members and my own fake ones.

Once you get it going you then let the fake ones disappear. BUT, if you can't fucking spell, don't try that. Nothing is so sad and funny as to see a non English guy posting back and forth like this as different members:

The girl, I like much, is but so pretty no?

yes, but fair skin so lovely,my heart aches for her.

Much love I have for girl yes, I agree my friends.

I don't think I would want to post as fake members (although it might be fun coming up with different ways of 'speaking' for each character ).

I've known of both methods you discribe and was hoping there were more ways to get a forum started.

BTW, is your crossdresser playground forum only for crossdressers, transgendered and tranny chasers or can any one join?

The only way to get a forum started is to get posts.. and for the most part, people will not post on a forum that doesn't already have posts. Quite a catch-22.

You could probably start up a forum quite successfully if you had a website that already had a really loyal following of bookmarkers.

Otherwise, you're going to have to fake it.

Oh hell, anyone can join, the more the crazier! I have several from this board, although they have not posted in a while.

So if you want to join up by all means do, and post about anything you want. Or maybe post like your trying to understand the whole CD thing. Then if you ever start your own I'll do the same for you.

If you have a little bit of money you can hire SunfunBill to fake a few posters on your forum. He has experience at it. You can also hire an army of chinese workers and you forum will then be very active.
