Hi all. I am fairly new to adult web design. I was very happy to find this site again. My question is this, how do we go about finding quality content for free or very low cost and is it better to get free hosts when starting out or shell out a bit of cash for a host with your own domain?
My budget is very tight and I wish to "wade" into the inviting waters of adult webmastering before diving in with all my efforts and swimming with the "sharks". Many people probably start out with the free hosting, but where can we find good content for little to no cost? Your feedback is highly appreciated. Thank you. -man007

hosting cost 10 bucks a month and content is provided by sponsors.
Just remember that any successful business is going to require an investment of more then just time.

If you want to get into adult, you should really invest the ten dollars per month for hosting, and a few bucks for some domain names.
You'll be glad that you did in the end.

Thank you. I think I am going to start with free hosting and content until I am comfortable with throwing down $10+ a month for my own domain and host.

Free host which allow adult content will either put their own banners on top or bottom or both. If they don't appear to be putting any ads then they will redirect part of your traffic to their own content.
$10 per month is the lowest cost imaginable for starting your own business. Also if you plan to create free sites many link lists will not list you if you're on a free host. Most, if not all, TGPs will not list a gallery that is on a free host. So if free sites and TGP galleries are out, how do you expect to get traffic? Probably not search engines since they tend to ignore most site on Adlut free hosts. (Non Adult free hosts sometimes get list if they've been there long enough and others link to them). |

Thanks for the advice. How much money do you recommend spending for a host and domain? My budget is really tight and I do not want to commit to this industry too much until I know that my investment will pay off.
Do you suggest getting just one inexpensive domain and host or multiple hosts with a solid domain name? What is the best hosting site with domains available for newbies/starters? Please help. Thank you. -man007 |

domains at godaddy cost 10 bucks (one time fee) and you can get hosting from them for about the same.

Thank you. What is your opinion on having more than one company host your website? Right now I have one host through MOBdesign and a separate domain through www.godaddy.com. Is it wise to get another host once things are up and running?

One thing, do not use godaddy for the hosting of your domain names. I hope I answered your questions.

Is it advisable to have more than one host when starting out? I have hosting through www.mobwebdesigns.com at the dirt cheap price of $9.99 per year. If I can start generating traffic in the future, I may consider getting more hosting such as Naked Hosting or similar at a monthly rate.
Thanks for the advice, man007 |
