How to redirect

Would somebody help me with redirection.
I would like to redirect from this page:
http://www.sweet-alice.com/ar/autorank.html
to this:http://www.sweet-alice.com
In another words they send hit to my TOP 100 page, but start with my index page.

If i find a toplist redirecting my traffic their link would be off my page in a matter of minutes.

to answer your question... google ".htaccess redirection" there should be thousands of examples of rules you can use to redirect.

So you're asking us how to scam webmasters? Sheesh. Do you understand the concept of a toplist and why a webmaster would send traffic to it in the first place?

I have to add up, that huuuge amount of amatuer sites does it.
What do you think large sites like "pickamature.com" "kissadick.com" lotzofmilf.com" "showme.." "clickfor..." is good to have on site, or they just take away hits? Thanks again

I always click on any top list links I put up to check them. If they don't send me to the list, they are gone.

Also I check my own hosting stats to see if I'm getting any traffic from them. If not,,,,, gone!

That's not cheating. Why send traffic back and forth to toplists. What's the point? My toplist sends traffic to the other sites main page and their link sends it to mine. Isn't that the way it's supposed to work?

Allice - go into your toplist control panel and there will be a field for landing/destination page. Make that your page of choice.

Good grief Lana. She asked us to tell her how to redirect a hit that someone sent to her toplist to her own paysite. What's the point? The point is that if I send a hit to a toplist I want that hit to register at the toplist and move my banner up the list, and the other sites that are listed on that toplist expect to get the benefit of my traffic when the surfer that comes from my site to the toplist clicks on one of the other banners in the list. If you redirect my hit to another site, that surfer will never see the toplist and won't click on any of the sites listed on that toplist and that of course, defeats the whole purpose.

Say a surfer comes to my site and decides to move on by checking out my toplist. He finds all the banners sorted by "hits in".
He clicks on a banner and goes to that site.
If he clicks on my recip on that site he'll go straight to my home page but the link code redirects through the toplist so the site WILL get credit and move up the list.
All the sites on the toplist are benefiting from traffic coming to my site from other sources.
You know that.
If a surfer clicks on my banner on another site he wants to go to my site not a toplist.
That's the way the AutoRank control panel is set up and in the two years I've had a toplist no one on the list has ever questioned it or complained.

Well, if your banner gets the bump, then I suppose it's ok. But I've never seen a toplist act that way. Most toplist are stand alone, so they want the traffic to come to the toplist.

But I have several that are toplist inside a paysite, like yours. And the hits all go to the toplist. Actually they go to a page that says "click here to enter top list, or here to go to XXXX site. That would be a better setup.

If I click a link I just joined for a toplist and get sent to a different page, I have no idea if I'm getting a bump or not, like you said. So I personally would take it off my site. Unless they explained how I am getting a bump even though the traffic gets sent somewhere else.

While we are on this subject, does the toplist software only count hits coming from the url you put down as to where your link will be?

What I mean is, if I put the code in two different pages, will only the hits I had put in the outgoing url field count?

You can only put the code in one spot.

A toplist on a paysite is basically like a links page except the banners move up and down according to traffic.
If you've got a banner on another sites links page you're not going to have it click through to your links page you're going to have it go to your home page or a page that makes more sense.

The sites on the toplist know full well that my toplist is part of my site. That's how they found it in the first place.

They get their traffic from surfers coming to my site through Google, links whatever.

They can also go into the toplist control panel and check their in/out stats there among other things.

So there is nothing underhanded with Allice sending hits to her home page.

Lana, did you even look at her toplist? It's not a top referrers list on a TGP or blog, it's an actual bonafide toplist and anyone using redirects on a toplist like that is a cheater, period.

Holly shit, she has a total of 12 different banners for her site alone on that top list!!! Big giant ones between the regular banners, plus her own regular size banners sprinked in with the others.

AND she wants the hits to go to her home page!!!!

Wrong - because all the sites on the toplist get the benefit of the traffic coming to my site from other sources. Traffic that I brought in that's nothing to do with the toplist. The toplist is just a link on my site and they get the benefit. Basically a big leak but it works for us all.

OK, I'll give you that. That screws everything. That's the whole point. It has to be a circle. We obviously have two ways of doing toplists. The paysite signs up a toplister.
The toplist sends traffic to the site. The sites recip sends it back to the home page. The home page has a link to the toplist and the toplist sends it back to the site. AND the site gets the traffic coming into the homepage and hitting the homepages toplist link. C'mon guys - DUH!
What nobody seems to get is all the sites on the toplist get the extra traffic coming to my site from elsewhere - LEAKS, leaks work for me.

True, but if they sign up as an affiliate they will have no advertising whats so ever on my site. Why should I send traffic to a site in the hopes they'll send it back to me.
A lot of sites out there just want traffic sent to them and aren't interested in promoting other sites.

This is a wacky thread. Allice isn't completing the circle and she's doing it wrong.

I did a little home work and the solo girls like myself who have a toplist on their sites are all doing it the same way. Why have a toplist if nobody even see's your home page? Charity?

Stand alone toplists I can see what your talking about but on a paysite it's different.

A leek for sure but sometimes those leeks bring in sales. Sometimes they're worth it.

Why do you insist on confusing the issue with your opinions on paysite toplists? That's NOT what she asked about. If you look at her toplist you can clearly see it's a typical toplist and is not attached in any way to her paysite except for the fact that she's using it to promote her pay site.

I am answering her based on her actual question.

I'm going to take Balls advice and give up on this one. Feel free to continue arguing a point that makes no sense but I'm done with this thread.
