Alternatives to paypal

Just checking in to see what people are using these days as paypal alternatives. Looking for ones that accept adult with buy now and shopping cart features.

Anything new, fun and exciting. Or maybe just reliable???

If you need a shopping cart system then can I assume you're talking about hard goods like dvds or products? If so, you can use PayPal.

Of course PP would be ideal, but i thought they were sour on pretty much anything adult related? Did they soften on that?

We had this discussion in another thread recently but if you read their TOS you'll see that they are once again processing for adult hard goods such as DVDs, sex toys, videos, etc. that can be shipped but they still do not process for recurring memberships.

This pretty much kills the paypal option:

"PayPal prohibits all account holders from buying or selling sexually oriented digital goods..."

So again, any other options? I've heard Alertpay is ok.

I think that statement applies to digital goods such as images and videos online... not physical goods that you would send through the mail.

The only way the PayPal option is killed would be if you were trying to sell digital downloads and that's why I ask what it was you were going to use them for, but never got an answer.

If you aren't talking about hard goods then ePassporte is another alternative although I personally can't stand them and would never use them.

I've heard lot's of negative about ePassport, although they still seem to be the most popular. Any input?

Without even trying any of these other sites, maybe it's just the biased designer in me, but half the time their sites don't even load correctly and look pretty amateurish. Seems like if they were making the big bucks and stable they could at least afford a decent looking fast site... maybe i'm just bitter and cranky today...

I remember there was a company called ikobo for a while that was doing adult,but I am not so sure now if they are still doing adult. WOuld be an option I think

In the TOS is

Posting or transmitting of any unlawful, threatening, libellous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic or profane material or any material that could constitute or encourage conduct that would be considered a criminal offence or violation of any law is strictly prohibited.

But thats not saying they are rejecting porn, is it! Well as long as it doesn't lead to "a criminal offence or violation of any law"!

All I know is one of my sponsers pays me through paypal. I'm not going to draw attention to which one because I don't use epass any more but I guess there are ways around things
