Wow!!! My first post. I'd like to say first of all... Titmowse... I would love it if you respond to this post. I have read all of your "books"... and I find you very intelligent in this type of business.!!!!

Ok... so I have a Sponser... and I also have a Free Host (since I'm just testing the waters) from PornParks. I also have a Sextracker counter.

I'm only trying to make gallery pages for TGP's.... but when I try to list on the Hun... he says that the bots won't list my page because of a counter I have.

Now my question is this... I have a counter with Sextracker.... then I'm also "Free Hosted" with PornParks which adds some code that has a "linked text" at the top and bottom of each of my pages. It also added an additional sextracker counter at the bottom right of my pages.

So my question is this.... Can I get a Gallery listed on TGP sites at all with the PornParks account? Or is it the Sextracker counter that is pushing the bots to block my submission?

My thoughts now are that I will just get another freehost account with a few companies that seem to be reputable.... and that are TGP friendly.

Most tgp's that are worthwhile aren't going to list galleries that have anything more than a couple links to your sponser and thumbnails linking to full size pics (16-20 to be safe). Most will accept another link to a 2257 document. Anything else I would discourage, and I know for a personal fact, the hun doesn't even want links to other tgp's, even the one's at his caliber (if there were any).

Welcome to the Campus, Teshula.

The TGPs aren't going to list a free-hosted page. Period.

There was a time when they would but that time is long gone. They're probably not going to be happy with any sort of site counter code on a Gallery either.

A gallery page needs to be as clean as possible. No JavaScript, no links that go to anything but your sponsor, plus the reciprocal link to the TGP, to which you have submitted.

EDIT ADD: As Porn Punk has mentioned, The Hun doesn't care for reciprocal TGP links. It's important to read the rules for each TGP carefully. Every TGP owner has a unique set of requirements.

Free hosts are just not viable anymore. Not even for practice.

I'm not Titmowse but I would recommend that you do some Googling on Sextracker because it's spyware and you really really don't want it on your site.

As for tracking your stats you need to check your server log stats and avoid using free counters of any kind on galleries or freesites.

Titmowse, LOL.. you are by NO means a thread killer hehehe. I started this endeavor by reading all of your articles in the classroom and I look up to you as a goddess hehehee but back to business... I understand that Free Hosting is almost dead to list galleries. What I did was research my butt off on what is acceptable for some of the TGP sites. I noticed that some pages on The Hun are free hosted with www.cleanadulthost.com which has an ad for the Fleshlight. So I am guessing that if I host with them (instead of PornParks) that I could get listed. I have read all of his rules and I only recip to him... and then my sponser banners of course.

Which leads me to thanking Hammer. I never knew Sexctracker was spyware/adware. I checked with www.siteadvisor.com and sure enough, it's loaded with stuff that most TGP owners won't allow. Hammer, I wonder if you could tell me how I check hits to my page with my Host? I signed into my account there and there is no option to do so.... which is why I have a Sextracker counter.

your gallery is loaded with blind links, and any tgp script is going to reject it due to too many outbound links.

If you really want to start submitting to tgp's you need a real hosting account. You're only talking about 10 bucks a month. That freehost just isn't gonna cut it.

If I may ask, how do I tell if something is a "blind link"? Is it related to my Sponser banners, my Sextracker counter, or my FreeHost? I'll remove the counter and sign up with another FreeHost if that helps... but if it's my Sponser banners... I'm kinda screwed.

Also, I don't have much capital... but $10 a month is no problem to sign up with paid hosting.... what I'm worried about is the tales of getting 80,000 to 200,000 hits in one day getting listed on a huge TGP like The Hun or Persian Kitty etc.... I don't have THAT kind of money to pay for bandwidth.

I also understand that I can submit to other TGP's... but some say I will be blacklisted for even trying to submit a page that has blind links etc. I definitely want to follow their rules, but I didn't even realize that I had blind links on my page!

Any further information on paid hosting accounts (like what kind of bill would I really get if I received 200,000 hits in a day??) and of course, how I can tell if I have blind links within my site... this information would be appriciated.

How you check your stats would depend on your host but most provide either Webalizer or AWstats which you should have access to inside the control panel for your hosting account. If you can't find it email your host and ask them how to check your stats.

Yes, submitting to TheHun can generate a lot of traffic that will shut down most virtual hosting accounts so I'd recommend waiting to submit to TheHun until you know how to build galleries that will actually convert sales. Otherwise, you'll spend more on bandwidth than you make.

I don't have Webalizer or AWstats, I have a CCBill account with my sponser. I check my hits from my Sextracker counter (which I see is probably not the best idea). My Host is PornParks which I believe is affiliated with Sextracker.

I guess what I'm wondering is that if I get a different Free Host (www.cleanadulthost.com) that is "TGP friendly".... could I submit pages with that to The Hun? I noticed he lists plenty of those pages each day. I really just want to see my stats for my first gallery since I am new at this (that's why I have the counter).

Also, Balls_Deep mentioned earlier that my gallery is full of blind links and outbound links... should I only have one or two text links to my Sponsor and just let the other 3 banners fly? Or should I remove some of the outgoing text links?

Hey there Teshula, welcome to cozy. Sounds like your getting good advice here. Have you thought about other ways to push your sponsors, like making a blog?

Blogs are the only thing I do, and they don't cost a thing. Plus they are easy to make, and you don't need to follow so many rules.

But no mater what you do, paid hosting is the way to go.

We're talking about a gallery you built so CCBill and your sponsors aren't involved. You asked how to check stats without using a free third party counter and I explained how. It won't help you when you're using free hosting but as we've discussed, you can't submit galleries on a free host anyway so you need to set up a paid hosting account. Once you do, you'll be able to check your server log stats and won't need to use a java counter.

You keep asking us to advise you on your outbound links but you're wasting out time. That gallery will never be accepted anywhere no matter what you do because it's on a free host and contains the hosts own advertising links. Until you set up your own hosting account and build a gallery that only contains links that you add yourself and doesn't contain the free hosts advertising there really isn't much more point in any of us reviewing this gallery.

Mate, are you actually listening to what you've been advised? What part of "DON'T USE FREE HOSTS" don't you understand?

I've read the responses and have nothing more to add other than follow the advice (and maybe do well) or follow your own (and fail).

Maybe you've been reading 'The Art of Adult Webmastering Circa 2001'?

register a domain - $10
hosting with a bunch of bandwith - $10/month

freehost=you dont know enough of what you are doing to be taken seriously so why should I list you on my TGP

freehost=your host owns your ass now, what if they decide that CP is the way to go...now you are hosting with a CP company (just an example)

Thank you all for making it crystal clear. I am now searching for a paid host. Please remember that the only reason I started with this FreeHost was because I didn't want to possibly get hit with a massive bill for bandwidth overages.

But now researching some of the paid hosting services... I see how affordable some services can be... (under $10 a month which includes around 1,500 - 3,000+ Gig Transfer???)... I really doubt I'll use that up just starting out making galleries!

So, now I was just wondering if anybody has had any good/bad experiences and/or some advice for a good Adult Host.

I was looking at Velcom, Godaddy, 247-host, nakedhosting and others. I know that BD LOVES ATCI Hosting... however that one is quite pricy for me at this time (I know you get what you pay for but... I still have to keep my day job and pay rent hehehe).

Yeah, ATCI is not offering virtual hosting for any new customers right now, I guess they got tired of people infecting a whole server. So now their lowest price is on a semi dedicated at 65 bucks I believe.

I had cyberwurx and was happy with them, I think they have virtual hosting. Just don't get anything TOO cheap, you do get what you pat for.
