Content With Poor ID Quality No Go?
So I purchased some content recently, and for one of the sets, the provided copy of the model's ID is obviously a photocopy, and a poor one at that.
While the copy is legible and you can see the model's photo, it's definitely not an easy task to compare her image to the images in the photo set. Why do photographers and/or content providers do this? I mean, if you're going to collect the ID and make a copy for your records, what's the use of making such a shitty copy? |

Monica,
Do you feel comfortable to drop names? Just wondering so I (or others) can avoid them, or make a personal request before purchase of high quality copies of the documents.

Here's the thing. If your purchase the content directly from the producer you'll usually get a good copy or can request one be sent to you. However, most of use don't deal directly with the producers we purchase from providers that sell content from lots of producers, many of whom, or should I say most of whom, are not from the U.S. and therefore couldn't care less about our 2257 problem. Why it's so hard to make a decent copy is a good question but I'd say it's because in most cases the producer is not running a big professional company but just some guy shooting videos of people having sex and using the only thing he has handy to make the copy which is usually his fax machine rather than an expensive color copier.

That's a pretty lame excuse when he's a photographer and has a very high quality reproduction unit in his hands called a camera. (my sarcasm isn't for you Hammer, it's for the content dudes).
I've had plenty of ID copies sent to me as jpgs... and they are great. I don't understand why those aren't the going thing with all content. And regardless from what country you are from, you probably need a copy of the ID to prove the model was of legal age to be in porn... it's not a law that's unique to the U.S. It's only unique that they give it to the webmasters. |

Oh and Pyratas, I'd drop names, but there's nothing wrong with the content company themselves... they have content from ALL kinds of photographers and the other content I bought from them had fabulous ID.
They clearly mark their content as to whether it comes with ID or not, but I think this one would have been better marked as not having ID rather than having it. |
