Lost username/pass on test blog, how to find?

The only trouble with having auto login with FF is sometimes it just seems to forget.

Then, it's been so long since you used the damn passwords that you don't know them!

FF seems to have forgot my auto login on a test blog. I KNOW I wrote it down somewhere, but damn If I can find it.

Is your pass/username in one of the files that you have on your host? I see the config.php one, but that's for your database.

So does anyone know what file to look at to see what your pass/username is??

I was under the impression those are ones you can't get back, but I'm not sure.

Wordpress sends out an e-mail when a user is created, you may still have that.

Also, sometimes if you go to yourblog.com instead of www.yourblog.com FF won't auto fill the info or vice versa. Try both.

Thanks Jim, I'll try that. Lucky it's just a test blog, nothing in it. But if I can't find it I'll have to wipe it out and install a new one.

Yes I do, I just really don't even know where to find it. I did not even know that's where it is.

I'll go poke around in it, but if it's too complex I'll just reinstall, it's just a test blog. Thanks!

Don't you have to reset the tables or something? I've never done it but I think that's what it says when you first install WP.

Your username and password are stored in the database, but they are encrypted. However, there are ways to get at them.

Look at this first:

Note that you have to use a program that creates a hash of the new password you want to use.

Thanks for the link SinSational! Since it was just a test one and I wanted to upgrade to the newest version I just deleted it. But that link will come in handy if I ever forget again.
