I've been working on a really kick ass theme for my new site, as the one I have now is so so.
With this new one the sidebars have boarders for each banner, I have a css menu at the top, it's wider, has a new header image and I even figured out how to make just one or no sidebars at all on pages. SO, when I switch I imagine I'll have lots of fun "Ooops, got to change this and that" stuff to fit right. Does it make much sense, since it's the world wide web, to wait till late at night to switch it? I don't have much traffic now, so I suppose it does not matter anyway! Should I just go ahead and spend a day getting it all put together and the hell with what little traffic I get, just get it up and going?

Yeah that's what I figured, best to just get it done asap so it looks better. Ok, should have it switched in a few days, tweaking the theme a bit more. Thanks.

Make updates as frequently as possible.
If you make a mistake and it looks bad in one or more browsers, you can fix it quicker. If you keep going without fixing it you will forget exactly how to undo that one thing and waste tons of time and probably sacrifice some element you liked just to repair the page. |
