hi All Cozyfroggers.. this site is awesome for us newbies feeling our way in the dark... Thank you Cozy Frog!
i have an artistic nude site, (more along the Suicide Girls, ISM etc) and am wondering if anyone has experience with advertising and getting quality links for these types of sites? We are looking at paid advertising on dating sites and things like that.... Stormcityxxkissmybliss

I wouldnt compare your site to suicide girls, thats not the same niche. You are strictly pinup.
I have experience with suicide girls type sites (Alt, Goth, Tattoo) but not with pin-up sites. Glad to see you joined us, we're rather friendly.

Niche?
Yeah.. its been our hardest marketing task to identify a niche... and youre right about the difference with our site and the Alt sites... Would have been alot more simple choosing one market as part of our sites philosophy is to include all different models and sexualities...
Thanks for the welcome!

Hi Stormcity, from one Australian webmiss to another!
How long has your site been online? What about submitting to review sites like JanesGuide and Monica's reviews ? I found these sites and others like them invaluable for giving honest appraisals and also quality traffic. |

Weclome to Cozy. To be honest, I can't even figure out what the site is so I don't think I'd worry about marketing too much yet, and I definitely would not submit that site to any review sites yet, unless you want a really bad review that will be hard as hell to get changed later.
Seriously, what is it? Is it s a pay site? The layout looks more like a blog to me. And what's with all the links to competitors in the side bar? You should never link to trade sites from a pay site, only from a free site of some kind. Even the link to your blog is not a great idea because it sidetracks people and they might never find the way back to the path you want them on. IMO, the site is extremely confusing with no direction and I would recommend addressing those issues before you spend too much time on promotion.

You may want to add EvasGarden to the list of Sponsors, it seems to be the same niche you are marketing (artistic nudes)

If not to submit your own site then, it is still worth looking at the review sites to see what does rate well. Check out what sites in your niche the reviewers have given high scores to, not only for the content but for overall design. See what you can learn from the sites that are doing it well.
Thebestporn.com, will give you an express review on request, whilst waiting for the actual review. That gives you an idea, and the opportunity to improve, and a tiny bit of traffic too. Of course the honest appraisals you get here on Cozy are worth gold. |

My gut feeling is mixing men and women on the same site won't work. One reason being that many men won't sign up for a site that also provides nude males. Even if they never look at them, they will see paying for the site as being gay. I guess you may get the curious, but is that what you are going for?
As for the site, if you are selling hardcore, you can get away with a rough looking site depending on the content. But if you're selling erotic nudes, you really do need a clean, sharp presentation. |
