Hello everyone! Tweaking my site today, making it look better. Anyway I have a cam site I am pushing. You can choose 30% revshare for life or 35 bucks per free signup.
I just had a signup today. I choose revshare, so have made nothing yet. Could those of you who push cam sites tell me if revshare is better than a one time signup? I assume long term it's better to go revshare. However I suppose a lot that sign up, once they take more time thinking about it never use it. So I lost out on the 35 bucks. Any suggestions on what is the best way to go? Thanks!

Revshare is the way to go in most cases, IMO. With ClickCash you don't have the option but when you do you'll probably make more in the long run with revshare, especially when once in a while you get lucky and get the guys that spend several hundred bucks a month.
That being said, there are situations where I think a one time payout works best so in most cases I would find ways to use both. It will take some time and trial and error to find out what works best depending on where the traffic came from and what type of site you were advertising it on. For example, it is possible to promote cam sites using TGP galleries and in that case, I'd probably go for a flat payout. It also depends on how you're promoting the site. In the case of iFriends, many of us promote the "free" join aspect in which case I'd rather get paid up front. On the other hand if it was on a blog and you weren't pushing a free signup impulse buy situation, revshare would be the far better choice. I'd also go with revshare with any cam sponsor that provides live models for free chat because if a guy is enticed into paying to go private once, chances are he'll do it again.

I personally knew a cam host who had a repeat customer, for well over a year, who spent about $500 a month. Had it been the case, that would have been a jackpot for the affiliate who referred him (alas it was on ClickCash / iFriends). With revshare the payout will be less often but you have a greater chance for "the Big One".

I agree that revshare is usually the way to go, especially with cams. There can be quite a few loyal customers.
However, since you are just starting out, and really want money, you may want to try the per signup options until you are more financially secure. |

Just for discussion, based on the current economic situation would you be more inclined to use PPS, especially with the big payout promotions some sponsors have. I know porn is somewhat recession resistant but I think if anything gets hit, it will be the cam sites.
Personally, I do the PPS with pussycash and it's been pretty good to me. Who knows if I would of made more with revshare but they lured me in with the big payouts. I can't complain |

RevShare can be quite lucrative...I have some CCBill paysite signups that have generate $300+ since the beginning.

With more and more camsites giving away shows with chat for free (and more and more people going cam to cam on chat sites, etc. for free), it's less and less likely that customers will spend a lot of money on private shows. If you don't have a lot of traffic yet, I think it's easier to make money on PPS. People still join camsites in droves, but the percentage of people who actually buy shows (especially long money-making shows) is shrinking.

Bill, as far as webcams.com members go, probably 5% of the members make up most of the revenue, so if you have the patience and/or don't need the instant cash, then go for revshare... because if you do manage to get a "whale" you'll be looking at some huge payouts.
I know that it's not always possible and bills need to be paid (excuse the pun), so like Hammer said try to find ways to use both to at least start the foundations for some passive income from webcams. For example, you could try revshare for monthly subscription sign-ups on links from models videos, such as these ones below Direct link to model profile Direct link to model profile And PPS for free lifetime for a live chat streaming embedded directly into your web page like this ![]() Live streaming free chat We've also got RSS feeds for blogs and for the online model profiles above. It all depends on which site you are promoting and where/how you are promoting it. You need to understand your traffic and know what your customers are looking for. Is your traffic made up from a bunch of broke college kids looking to get off and cheap? Or does your traffic consist of a few lonely older guys with a ton of money sitting in the bank?
One 'whale' can pay your rent for months via revshare. The problem is that no single whale will last forever. Sometimes they stick around for a year or longer, and generate hundreds per month for you, but eventually that particular stream of revenue will wear out. Get three of four big spenders at the same time, and you've hit the jackpot. Its just a matter of continually trying to attract the next one. A bit of luck comes into play with that as well... once the guy joins the site, its out of your hands.. you just have to sit and hope the customer falls in love with a model and decides to throw tons of cash at her. (In many cases, this backfires because the models start to communicate directly with the customer, then bypass the camsite completely and take his money directly.. which screws everyone over.) The pps option is appealing because of the guarenteed payout. The customer shows up, grabs his card, and you get $50 or more right away, depending on the site. When you do this, you are betting against the system. You are betting that this customer will not enjoy his experience enough to become a repeat customer. This all comes down to knowing your traffic. If you are promoting the camsite via a general variety entertainment site... one of those places with lots of random videos and games... then odds are that the customer clicked the link on impulse rather than a desire to spend money on a woman. If you promote the site via one of the countless 'free porn' sites, then odds are the surfer clicked the link just to look for more free pussy. You can make a ton of money from these customers, but you really need high volumes of traffic. |

Well one thing I hate is that you get no stats with any cam sites. All you see is if you got a sign up or not. I have no idea if I sent 1,000 or 1 person to the site.
I am signed up under webcams.com, but I'm pushing another one because I got sales from them, and none from the other. It may be just luck and I need to give the other place more of a chance, but with no stats all I can go by is who I got signups from. You do seem to have to push a lot of traffic to a cam site to get any signups, that's for sure. That's why I'm pushing this one that gives you 25 bucks for a free signup, and I still have not got a single check yet.

Hey Bill... if you ever want to see how many clicks you have sent to webcams.com.. raw and unique.. just go to the "stats" section and click on the individual weeks to see how many clicks have come from you each week.
Like i said before... hit me up if you have any problems like that. Chris ICQ 406-094

Bill, I don't know enough about how to push cam sites and haven't had time to learn yet, so I do it half-heartedly but I just got a decent cheque from
AWE without pushing them very hard. I choose PPS b/c like the others said, it takes a while to get that ideal cash cow of a customer. |
