Running out of bloggable ideas. Help

Ok, so I have been doing blogs quite ok for some time, but im beginning to run out of subjects all the time. It's not like we play every day or even every week but you kind of run of stuff to say. I'm sure I am not unique in this respect.

So how do you combat this ?

Well I'm not sure what your blog is about. I always try to sprinkle everyday stuff in with my main post. No matter what your subject is everyone has things in common that has nothng to do with your main subject.

Throw in a funny video, a sexy video, an interesting video. Post about a new toy, new book, animals, eating out, hell there are hundreds of things. I just made a post about bike week here in Florida, I write about news, about what I did last week.

As long as most of your post are on subject you can have many about anything. If you have a real blog and not a splog your readers will like the change.

I go off on Google and do random searches for related terms and see what it turns up. I usually find something that sparks my interest and makes me think of something.

And you can always talk about things you've already talked about before... just make sure you don't do it over and over and over.

How about sploshing (getting wet and messy with food)? (insert self-serving plug here)

Sploshing, although more popular in the UK than in the US, has had a couple of mainstream references lately, too...

a recent issue of Maxim had a blurb about it, Sirius radio's Playboy station features sploshing on their NightCalls program with Ginger Lynn and Christy Canyon, etc.

And if you've seen the movie 9 1/2 Weeks, the food play by the fridge is a great example of wet and messy (WAM) fun.

Get a notebook ( as in pen and paper), and write down the ideas as they pop up. A voicerecorder is allso good. If youre comment field is opened to surfers they will allways give you some ideas to blog about, and use youre rss reader for ideas (not for news and shot like that). Just becuase someone else has blogged about it does not mean you can not give youre opinion.

Those ideas can be used both mainstream and in adult.

whenever i get an idea i hit my dashboard and write a draft with just a title, then come back to it when i need a new idea to write about.

Hi Stu, You need to go off on a tangent once in a while. Start by looking at things you don't normally look at. After all it's your blog and you can do what you want!

I just randomly look at all sorts of web sites to get new ideas.

Be sure to bookmark some good news and culture related sites and check them on a regular basis for ideas. If worse comes to worse, write a keyword rich article about some recent topic that could be skewed to be related to your blog's topic.

Check CNN today for example. It's all about the governor and hookers. How could you write a little post about politics and hookers, then link to something hooker-porn related.? Just a quick example.
