ccbill vs. paycom or both?
I'm going to be setting up billing for my site and have some questions as to which major 3rd party biller to use. I hope to get some unbiased opinions here.
Paycom will set me up at 14% with NO hold back and uses MPA3 cascading billing. ccbill is 15% with a 5% hold-back for 6 months and also now uses cascading billing. I'm going to use one as the primary biller and the other as the secondary. No question paycom is the better deal on the surface but are there other factors involved I need to know? I realize there may underlying factors regarding affiliates etc. and that's what I'd like to know more about. Actually anything you think I may need to know about this would be appreciated! Anyone really know their stuff with these 2 billers??? Thanks in advance, MD |

Go with CCbill. I don't know much about PayCom but CCbill has hands-down the best off the shelf affiliate program there is.
I'm with Verotel only because I'm in Canada and CCbill can't process here. Verotel, Paycom and CCbill charge about the same but the quality of the aff programs can and will make a huge difference in your and your aff's bottom line. Verotels program is lame. I don't really know about Paycoms except that it's not as good as CCbills. Fractions of percentage payouts mean nothing. Happy affs with a program that has everybody's confidence means everything.

That's what I'm trying to get more information on is the differences and pros and cons to either affiliate program. Paycom claims to have a superior affiliate program but that's sales people. i do know that only 2 weeks ago ccbill started using cascading billing, how does that change things?
I wouldn't care about a 1 point difference in the rate, it's the 5% holdback for 6 months that makes a difference to me. a combined 6% is significant and makes a difference, especially in the beginning. If it weren't for the 6 point difference I probably wouldn't even be considering paycom. I also heard that paycom approves more cards... I don't know if that means more charge-backs but it certainly means more sales. Thanks for your input Lana! MD |

I am just starting to push adult sites, and I am going to stick with the ones using CCbill. Reason being most sponsors I will be pushing use them. So, it is real easy to get to the minumum payout limit if all my signups are with one company combining all my payouts.
Makes it easy to keep track of everything too.

I don't think I've ever signed up as an affiliate of a site using Paycom, but I've signed up to over one hundred sites using CCBill. CCBill is my suggestion, but I'm afraid I can't give you any comparisons. I can tell you it's a trusted name in the biz.

i realize ccbill is the biggest name in the biz and i've used them in the past when i had a webcam thing going a few years ago but i see paycom quite a bit too. anyway, from what i understand the cascading billing system that paycom and ccbill are now using allows either company to combine affiliate payouts from both companies in one check or something like that...
further elaboration in this area would be great! MD |

There is little argument that Epoch and CCBill are the two largest, oldest, and most trusted names in the billing arena. Either can provide you with the services you need and most programs use both in a cascade to maximize their sales and help spread out their risk.
I'd like to clear up a little confusion that is pervasive among affiliates. What most people don't realize is that Epoch is oldest IPSP in the industry and was the first to offer real time reporting, password management, and an affiliate tracking/reporting/payment system, Being the first meant that we had no guide book for creating an affiliate system. One of the things we over looked was a way to combine multiple affiliate accounts into one payout. We additionally didn't offer the best reporting interface. This has all changed. Epoch now offers EpochStats which allows complete tracking (even to secondary billers), has a vastly improved reporting interface, and allows affiliates to combine their multiple accounts into a single payout. A lot of affiliates have still not heard the news or simply have not taken the time to look. Not only does Epoch offer the most marketing features, payment types, tracking and reporting and free cascading, we are flexible enough to add additional functionality if there is something you need that we do not already offer. If you have any questions for us, feel free to contact me directly or write to sales@epoch.com. We would love to work with you to improve your business. |

rand, i believe epoch/paycom is the better option when it comes to the numbers etc. but i don't want to ignore the fact that some if not many affiliates may shy away from my program because it's not "ccbill"...
some people on this post have said that and i've heard similar things from a few others in the past as well. if i use paycom as my primary biller maybe I could lay out the facts in my program info and stress the fact that there will be no issues and so-forth... |

Understood.
I think you should make the best decision for your program. Of course you want the best solution for long term objectives and the services that will make your affiliate program the most attractive. Our job is to continue to provide the services that program owners and affiliates need. Most of the programs that process with Epoch have their own affiliate software so affiliates don't use the billers interface. That's why we built EpochStats. It caters to the smaller to medium size guys who can't build their own reports and need the tools. Whatever you decide, Master D, we're here for you if you have any questions. |
