Not just for blogs, either. Any good site receiving traffic can make money, it would seem. I'd consider sums far lower than those mentioned to be successful, especially bearing in mind the Adsense is likely to be only one source for a good site.

I think that was Hammer's question to DosTwo, so let's hear the replies in turn.

Many a board contributor gets pissed off with people entering a thread to sound off. Such comments have little if anything to do with the topic under discussion.

For instaznce, this thread has all to do with the possibilities of making money with a worthwhile site and nothing at all to do with the personalities involved.

Interrupting a current thread is not the way. Start your own sound off thread for that purpose. The (lack of) response will indicate just how important or relevant the comment was. if your purpose is to kill an interesting conversation, why the fuck bother to socialise?

Monica... hes an ebook type and I will call em out whenever I can. The problem is you don't really learn anything you couldn't learn faster by yourself from people like him but they perpetuate the myth that you have to follow them to make it online. I know my comments probably put more subscribers in his feeds but I am going to do that shit every time someone like him is mentioned.

I think there is some truth in what you are saying. You have to face the fact that his blog is all about making HIM money. That's the whole purpose behind his posts.

However, I do find blogs like that motivational from time to time, and they do give me some valuable ideas for new marketing techniques or projects.

I'm pretty immune to the whole ebook bullshit anyway, so I just sneak in, take away tidbits of information that help me for free, and sneak out again.
