How/where did you create it? Have you tried any dig commands to ensure it exists?

If so, have you given it 2-48 hours to allow the DNS to propagate?

A subdomain is essentially a folder within a domain and does not exist in its own right until you set up its DNS parameters on your DNS servers. These then take some time for the worldwide DNS servers to "spread the word". If you get it wrong, you are likely to get an unexpected result.

The fact that you are getting a response tells me you are part way there. My suspicion is that it will respond as expected within a few hours.

You need to go into your hosting control panel and create the subdomain with whatever technique they use by naming that particular folder as your sub domain.

If you've already done that, you just have to wait like horney said, but I think by now it should be working so you should probably read the help in hosts hosting control center or get on the phone with them to make sure you're doing it right.

It usually takes my host about 10 minutes or so, and I don't have a particularly good one, but it can take much longer like horney was saying depending on the host

I can't remember exactly how cpanel works. Each one has their own little method, but tech support should be able to walk you through something as simple as that while you're on the phone with them.

If it's in your public_html folder, rather than in a folder within that one, it should appear on your main site, too.

As porn punk says, a domain can propagate within minutes locally, and should be done worldwide in less than 24 hours, although every host will tell you that it very occasionally takes up to 48 hours.

By the way, clockwork.com is registered to Nosmo King of Philadelphia. If your hosting is in the form of a subdomain from that source, you will not be able to set up further subdomains on it without your host's help.
