can anybody give me the lowdown on blogs and why you think they are better than freesites, tgps etc, are they harder, easier to get up and running, easier to maintain etc

also, i read that people who are serious in this game think tgps are crap, if this is so, how come people still make them. why arent they dead, i presume people still make good cash from them so why do people rip into them??

Hi there slothfratelli. Blogs require a learning curve, but once you learn it, it is easy to keep up. If you know php your in great shape.

Blogs are very seo friendly, so IF you do all the seo stuff right you can get search traffic, which is the best. Also as your blog grows you have many key words to play with, and lots of links to your sponsers.

But, it takes time, it's a long term thing. Also a good one requires you to be good at writing and give it good information. A lot of "see this hottie now, click here" is not going to make it in the long term.

As to why people bother with tgps, some have always done them and keep doing them. It's like anything, when something new comes along it takes awhile for people to stop doing things the way it was.

I can't make a tgp gallery to save myself, but I can write a good blog.

You need a lot of knowledge to run a tgp (make it convert, but at the same time keep your trades going).

Freesites have to meet a certain format otherwise they aren't accepted at link lists and there are many small rules.

For blogs you just signup at a blog service (for example thumblogger.com) or install software (for example wordpress) and you can just write blog posts and upload pics. Then submit it to a couple blog directories and the traffic and a little while later the search engine traffic will be flooding. In other words a blog is a easier way to start.

I am surprised Hammer didn't respond though I suspect he has grown tired of this question.

Running a successful TGP is very difficult. It has a certain appeal for newbies but it is the hardest porn business model in which to be successful when starting from scratch. If you have little or no experience in porn or internet traffic then you'll likely fail. Not only must you be able to install a TGP script and load the thing [the easy part], but much more importantly, you'll need a credible plan to acquire and trade MASSIVE amounts of traffic. No one will want to trade traffic with you if you don't have traffic so how do you get traffic ... and so on and so on. Sure you can buy traffic but then you've got to have a boat load of trades in place to "pump the pump" sort to speak. Will someone build a better TGP and make a bundle some day? Maybe but the days of throwing up some thumbnails and carting wheelbarrow loads of cash to the bank are long gone.

With a blog (like I run), at least the quality of traffic I receive is better than a TGP (where people tend to get tossed around from one CJ [circle jerk] to another). I may only get 900 hits a day but 850 of those came from search engines where the surfer is looking for something very specific. If I put up a post about Ava Lauren today then a few days from now and for months and months later people are surfing to my site looking for her porn. I would also recommend freesites too. The traffic quality is not as good as blogs but the traffic volume is a bit better and compensates somewhat.

Both blogs and freesites though are vehicles which newbies can invest some time and get to know the business. TGP are saturated. The start up knowledge and costs (to do it right) are prohibitive for adult webmasters with little or no experience.

I would say blogs are only better if you really put the effort into your posts, why would someone come to your blog every day and look at one pic and three works?

If it's original and you build up a following, you will start to get one way back links, Google will love you.

Blogs can be monetized it many ways at the same time!
