Having major troubles with rss feeds,,

My test blog where I test new plugins is starting to look like a dump. I have added and deleted dozens of them for various reasons.

Right now I am trying to get an rss reader to show short summeries of transgender news items on a page. I can't seem to find any good ones that work. One just left a bunch of garbled crap.

The one I'm using now does not seem to work. I put in the code they give:

But all I get is the code itself, no feed on my page. Yes I have disabled rich text.

Can anyone tell me if the code about is wrong, or tell me of some good rss reader that works with the new version of WP?

Usually when you have a plugin reader, you just give it the URL (http://www.genderlife.com/news/rss) of the feed and it will create posts from it.

Yeah, as you can see from above, I have two urls on it, it supports multipul ones. Nothing happens. Oh well, what's another day wasted. I just downloaded a gallery package and can't get it working.

At least everything today is going in the same direction, down!

Yeah I am, already cleared that code out. I just don't know what to do for an rss feed, I mean one that puts the summeries of other news feeds onto my page. I'm running out of plugins.

why are you both worrying about duplicate content? make your own post which you could do with all this wasted time. summarize news and link to the article. you will do better.

Balls, every big Transgender site has a "latest news" section that they have updated everyday. They use RSS feeds to make a page of them. Yes it is all summarized with links back to the source. It is very important to a lot of transgenders.

But you can't do that by hand everyday without wasting several hours. They all do it by feeds, so if they can I can. I just have to figure out how. Don't worry, I'll find it.

Hey Bill, I think we're both on the same page re the feed stuff actually as opposed to the plagiarism aspects we discussed earlier. I think I'm onto something btw... will let you know shortly...

I've had like no luck at all with implementing RSS feeds either =/

They always come up with erros like "this feed does no syndicate" or "no feed detected" or something...ugh frustrating

You need to put the code into the template files, if you post it as text it will appear as text.

I tied feedwordpress with a few different RSS feeds including the ones from kinkydollars, and a few other programs I forget now, and they all came up with an error like I mentioned anyone experience this before?

Thanks, but a very nice friend of mine showed me another one, works great. Wow, got my picture gallery going, now my rss news feed will be going soon, PLUS I had 5 sales today in my lingerie store, things are looking up!!
