Read a funny post and give me feedback

With my blog almost ready to roll, I realized I had asked you all questions about putting it together, but none about the most important part, the post!

I try to make my post with some humor in them, while trying to sprinkle in the key words and links to what I want to sell. Tonight I made a post about how cross dressers love costumes. I put pictures in it, with links to my own costumes in my store.

Could you read the post and let me know if what I did is good, as far as links, key words and all? This post pretty much follows all the other ones I have made.

Hmmm, so you did not like it huh? I have to admit that one was my most "porny" post to date. The others deal more with makeup tips, what CD's go through and all that.

Ok then, save the sexy talk for my porn blog. And you say throw more text links in, ok. A lot of my post I really don't have any links, just getting the key words in so the page ranks high.

been tattoo blogging all day, and gathering willing models for my exclusive post. It will actually be my first real blog (evereything else has just been glorified splogs).

your post just really seemed spamy to me, what i mean is that i would have written something like that to sell crossdressing porn. I never would have even thought about any post before it,

when you talk about real CD trouble and your own life you become interesting.

when you give me 4 pics and links to stuff i can buy i know your trying to sell me something.

AAhhh, yeah I see what your saying. My other post are more geared toward helping and advice, so yeah I understand. Still, I think as long as a post like what I just wrote is only, say one in 10, I think the readers will forgive me.

I think part of why it's spammy is you use a lot of exclamation marks. The text is definitely a sales pitch though.

Instead of writing like you are trying to sell costumes, you need to write like you are doing an article about costumes and cross dressing.

You want the links to the store to be discreet and sort of like a bonus.

You can start with a bit about how you've come to really enjoy dressing up in costumes when you cross dress. Talk about why you enjoy this, what exactly is it about costumes that makes it feel good? Discuss where and when you like to wear costumes, what sorts of fantasy roles they fulfill.

For example: The first time I pulled on a costume, I felt the tingle of excitement, a sensation of being sexy and feminine as I transformed myself from man to schoolgirl.

As opposed to: I can dress up like a schoolgirl and you can too! Check out the different types of costumes you can wear! There are so many kinds!

I bet you can see the difference between the two bits of text there.

This is exactly what I've been talking about for months. A spam blog will never do anything more than a TGP. No one comes to read it because it's nothing but spam, they only come to look for free porn and not to buy anything.

Your blog should be a real blog with posts that people will actually read. There are ways to sell things on blogs without actually making it look like you're trying to sell something.

Think of your blog like a newspaper. People don't buy newspapers to shop they buy them to read the news. But, there's obviously penty of advertising in a newspaper and that advertising does work or no one would buy it. However, the articles are not written with the intention of selling anything, they are strictly providing information that people want.

Well this makes me wonder just what I should do in a post. I mean, should I never have a link in any post, except say for a free video or something? Or is it ok to link to a product if it is part of my post?

Almost all my post so far have no links, I just chat about tips and what transgenders go through. But I though a link here and there is ok. Take this post, I am basically talking about myself and friends, but I put a few links in:

Say I was making a post on the proper way to use beard cover, a paste like clown white. Could I say "I myself like SUPERGOOP from brand x", and have the word SUPERGOOP a link to the product with my aff code?

Or should I just never use links in post, just write nice chatty and informational post and let the banners and shopping section do the sales?

C'mon Bill, it's not rocket science.

There's a big difference between writing a post that is obviously written solely for the purpose of selling something and writing a post about some new shaving cream you tried and then subtly throwing a link up at the end. Just write your posts as you would like to see them on other sites if you were wanting to read something informative without having an infomercial shoved down your throat in every post.

Yeah, ok, it's just that I, like anyone just starting a blog, am new to writing for someone else to read. My earlier post where more "me" and so I'll stick to that. I had positive responses here for them.

Most of my post will not have any links. The ones that do I will just limit them to one or two text links. I like putting pics in the post, but I will not link them to anything. Thanks

I think the Biker Post was a LOT better. In it you talk about your life a lot more and it doesn't sound like you are writing just to sell. You do a good job of those posts.

Take all the comments into consideration and just start blogging. Check you stats and see why people are coming to your site. Experimentation will lead you to realize what converts into sales.

Yeah, I want to add about 3 more pages to give it depth, but I guess I can get it out there now and start getting noticed. I have enough post to go "live".

I must be slower than most, I just can't seem to do much in a day. Of course the last few days I've been getting all kinds of affiliate sign ups, damn paperwork!

Ok, tonight when I finish my post for the day I will use pinggoat and be on my way!!
