Hey guys!

I'm looking to add another hand-written blog to my network, and I like to do something a little different with each.

Basically I'm curious if anyone knows of any themes that have 2 columns down the middle that you can post to. so in total I guess it'd have 3 bars. A sidebar, and 2 columns that can contain posts.

I've searched far and wide but can't seem to find any

I believe I've seen one like that somewhere but I'll have to dig around.

Many blog templates have the two sidebars and modifiable central area.

Get a template with the two sidebars and central area and futz around with it til you get what you want.

You should get over to the wp wordpress theme links. You can find just about anything you can imagine and then alter it

My guess is you're talking about a two column newspaper style layout. I've seen themes like that but why would you want to? The reader would have to scroll up and down too much.

I agree. It would be confusing to the surfers. Seems to me the best layout is a standard 3 column setup. Reason being the two sidebars are your prime "real estate" areas that you want to fill with ads and so on. Too many post with big pictures and "click here now" stuff makes it look cheap. JMHO.

all by blogs to date are standard 3 column ones, and I was curious to compare if I added a second column that would be full of basically quotes and links to other blogs.

so 1 column would be my blog, and the 2nd column would be essentially cool stuff around the internet pertaining to the theme of the blog....

I see where your coming from though in that it'd be confusing perhaps for the surfer and they would have to scroll up and down and such....would be best to just put it all in one central colum...

nevertheless I like experimenting with things so perhaps I'm going to fiddle with the idea and come up with something that works and give it a shot!

You can go into your default theme and change the html to any layout you want.
