What are some good adult toys wholesalers?

I know I know, I'm suppose to be making baby steps by just getting my blog going! But I have to wait a few days to get my new host, my partner wants all expenses in the business name (I told ya she was good at the money part)

So this week I'm getting a data base of my future links, trades and wholesalers. I know most don't make much off adult toys. But Bilinda will use many toys and bondage stuff in her site, so I might as well cut my cost by buying it wholesale, while also making a little selling stuff she uses, smart huh!

I also will so the same for all her costumes, lingerie and stuff, I'm turning my old yahoo store into a exotic women's store! NO not selling her used toys and panties you pervert! Just letting them buy the same stuff they see her use and more. Also with a mainstream site if my friends want to know just how I make my millions I'll just show them that, haha.

So, anyone know the best wholesalers for toys? I see a LOT of them on google, just hoping to weed through all the ones who say they are wholesale but really are not. I went through the same thing when I opened my leather store, so many that just get a small discount, or raise the retail price while offering you "wholesale" of a few bucks off. Thanks!

Hmmm, no bites huh? Guess not many here push toys. Well fine then, Bilinda will just have to go out in the cold, wild toy frontier and pick her own toy supplier!

That's ok, I got a few already that seem legit. Can't find any that will take returns if you don't like it though!

Uh, thanks markc, but I am looking for a WHOLESALER, not a retail store. Wholesale price would be about half the prices you see in this store. BTW welcome to cozy.

No offense Bill, but you're driving me nuts. Every week you've got something new. Now you want to sell sex toys that you buy wholesale instead of as an affiliate? Why in the world would you want to do that? First of all, by the time you're done paying shipping and handling customer service it's not likely you'll make as much profit as you would if you just used a good toy program like PEcash and you'll go through the same damn thing you went through with your jacket store. Customers that are unhappy with the product, replacing broken products, etc., etc., etc.

The truth is that there are too many sex toy stores on the Internet already and you won't have any success marketing the toys. If all you plan to do is use them as upsells when someone wants to buy something they see Bilinda using, that makes sense, but I wouldn't plan on it being a huge success and I would still suggest finding a good toy program instead of a wholesaler.

I would like to suggest some reading that might be of interest to you. I honestly think it can be quite helpful.

It seems you are all over the place with your business ideas. Pick one, use a simple model and execute your plan with all your energy for a full year.

Hey Hammer, did you read what I said in my first thread? I'm not jumping around, just getting links and potential sites for future use. I am doing what you and the others recommended. I am going to start my blog, build it up, start pushing other sites as an affiliate, sell some ads and so on. Maybe make a few blogs. On weekends we will start doing some shooting for our future paysite, if that ever works out.

BUT, I am waiting for my partner to give me the go ahead, she handles all the money. I am switching my host to ATCI, which I am sure you agree is a good idea. I can't start my blog until I get my host, can't pay to get my host until she tells me to. So I am doing whatever I can right now, getting links, researching stuff, and yes getting wholesalers that I may be able to tie into my blog and paysite.

But you say I should just be an affiliate for a toy store? Ok then, I did not know that was a good way to go. If so then I thank you for once again giving me good advice. I will check out the company you mentioned.

I will do this in steps as you said I should. But while I wait for my partner to say go ahead, I am sitting here 24/7 all ready to go with nothing to do. So I am doing everything else I can. Hope that clears up what I intend to do. If you have any suggestions on what I can do while I wait by all means let me know (go to hell is not one of them)!

I think your biggest focus should be the blog. And even though you don't have hosting, there is a lot you can be doing.

You could be writing future posts. You could be searching for places you will generate traffic. You could be researching and reading about successful blogs.

I think you should read EVERYTHING you can find about blogging. Read up all the related posts here on Cozy, read up any articles on CozyFrog.com, check out the CozyAcademy.com, and head out there on the web and read some more.

Anything you read about generating traffic and keeping a successful blog is going to help you in the long run.

I agree Monica, and that is what I have been doing. I have a list of blog list sites, porn blog sites, compairing WP with that Jooma or whatever it's called, on and on. I just happen to also want to check out things to go with it, keeping an open mind to add ons is what makes a good blog a great blog. Thanks for the advice.

Has anybody had any success marketing toys/dvd through a sex store operator. I have been looking at various sex store options and they pay you between 25 to 35% on sales - anyone who knows retail will tell you thats not a bad net margin, most retailers will kill for that.

I am thinking of adding it as a link on my hub page , any comments.

I've had success promoting WildInSecret.com. They're a nice site based in the UK that sell some really good quality products, not just the hunks of plastic you find elsewhere.

Sort of a related question. Does anyone sell those blow up dolls and if so who is a good affiliate. I just got this crazy ass funny idea, but don't want to waste my time if they don't sell at all.

Razor, I have good success with adult dvd rental sites. CEcash has one and there are a couple others. Just like Netflix or Blockbuster but for porn vids. People will buy DVDs, but I think renting is the way to go because for what you'd pay to buy one CD you can rent several videos a month.

Bill, I understand what you're saying, but I think you spread yourself too thin trying to learn and understand so many different things at once. Like Monica said, why not spend your time developing Bilinda and the story line behind her and start writing blog posts so you're ready with a bunch when you've got the blog ready. Remember, launching a blog with ony a few posts isn't a good idea, you want it to look like it's been around awhile even when it's brand new. Plus, you will havea bunch of articals in reserve to update with after you launch.

I'm in agreement with Hammer here on this one Bill. While you may want to branch out in the future, you will have time to do the research then.

When a project is new, it's very easy to get sidetracked with all the things you could do with it in the future.

However, the best projects start with a very solid base and go from there.
