Firefox and alt tags?

Do "alt" tags work in firefox. I can see the "title" tags but not the alt?

i would have to say yes, as SE just read the page text, with no preference to browsers used.

All the way with BD here. And I have to say, alt tags rule and their importance can't be underestimated for improving your SE results.

I've been noticing that. I'm also curious about the naming of the files. I know it would take forever, but my image searches on my blog results seem to be better than my image searches on my galleries pages because I've been naming the files themselves in addition to the tags because time wasn't a factor for me.

This might just be in my head or a coincedence so the jury's still out but I'm going to start running tests on that I think

If you are interested in google images traffic, build a site with static html pages. On those pages put a chunk of text, some good metatags and loads of pictures where you name the files and use alt and title tags on each picture.

Do NOT use a framebraker for google, but put a meta refresh tag on each page where the pictures are located. (like 20-30 sec.).

There....now you have some google images food

I use Fireworks to optimise images and it has a batch facility so you can rename a whole bunch of images eg) Keyword1-keyword2-01.jpg.

It works great and takes a few secs to do loads of images. I am sure photoshop must have a similar facility/
