Firefox and alt tags?
Do "alt" tags work in firefox. I can see the "title" tags but not the alt?

differences in the rendering engines, they are still present but you won't see the popup with alt tags on firefox, you can however see the title tags in FF.

i would have to say yes, as SE just read the page text, with no preference to browsers used.

All the way with BD here. And I have to say, alt tags rule and their importance can't be underestimated for improving your SE results.

If you are interested in google images traffic, build a site with static html pages. On those pages put a chunk of text, some good metatags and loads of pictures where you name the files and use alt and title tags on each picture.
Do NOT use a framebraker for google, but put a meta refresh tag on each page where the pictures are located. (like 20-30 sec.). There....now you have some google images food

P.S. your free site from that other thread inspired me to get much more creative with my free sites. Just thought I'd toss a big thank you out there for that one
