Review site recips

I am just about ready to start my affiliate program going and have been looking at review sites but most seem to want a recip.

How do people feel about that as a traffic leak as it seems a huge one to me I think maybe a compromise would be to add them to the blog but its still part of the paysite.

Any thoughts?

depends on the site and the review. If I get a good enogh review I keep the bananer, if its a bummer review I take it off. After all, it pays for them to do a good review cause they make money off the link if they join as a partner.

A lot of paysites will have a page linked somewhere from their tour called "reviews" where they quote reviews they've received and provide links to the sites that reviewed them. You can see this on sites like simonscans and videobox.

Also, some sites won't require a recip if you have an affiliate program where they can make money by promoting your site.

Sometimes they will accept a link from somewhere else you own, like a blog.

Compdoc I hadnt thought about taking them off if I dont like the review but like you say there earning so not that likely

Monica adding the review as part of the tour and blog is a good idea would help put the conversions up as well I think

BE CAREFUL! DO NOT submit unless you are confident you have a decent amount of content.
Surprisingly, most review sites didn't become an affiliate.
I eagerly submitted to a few lesser sites when I had less content and that brought my score down. I dropped the link because it was doing me more harm than good.
If they are going to use your program a good review is good for everyone. But if they're not, they have to have some credibility and give a few bad reviews and content was my weakness.
I've brought my content up and it isn't that much of a problem anymore. On the upside - there are so many bad sites out there you can get a very good review due to others inadequacies.

I have a lot of content and its all regularly updated so that should be ok.

I have submitted to a few sites so I think its a case of wait and see.
