Been away for a while, just spent the whole day catching up and was wondering what is up about the various sites that promise and do often deliver things that look like "ex - girlfriend pics". I don't have any specific sites that come to mind at the moment - I crashed and lost my whole session. But I saw a bunch of sites that seem to deliver what look like homemade snapshots. Where do they get this stuff and how is it legal with not just 2257 but also some chick discovering her pussy snapshot was posted on the net by a bitter ex boyfriend and then usurped by a pay site?

Don't tell me you haven't catched they are all faked? The photos can deliver close to any content provider, like we. Regarding the docs, well as said many times before. This is an US law and only US people have to follow it. So, other webmasters from abroad, for e.g. from Spain, do not care about it at all

Yup. Call me naive if you like but I thought a lot of this stuff looked pretty real. I don't know, I'm tired. By fake you mean these are professional porno models, I assume, be they 'amateur' looking or not.

Anyone using real stuff without signed releases is in a lot more trouble than someone violating 2257 laws with legal aged models.

Unlike, pornography, obscenity and free speech there's very little argument about what violates copyright infringement and invasion of privacy

After I have seen the site, I am 100% sure that some of the stuff is just grabbed. Why they are not in trouble, well how to get behind all these sites? and if you are living in the US, how you get behind an Russian?

I asked a similar question recently and nobody on Cozy seemed to care either way. (I thought I'd be reprimanded...)

I was thinking about grabbing the home-photos from usenet, making sure that the models do NOT look under 18 (I'd look for under 25), hosting them elsewhere (non-US) via adult filesharing sites (out of Holland or elsewhere that provides PPC, or PPS marketing), and linking to them with AFF as the sponsor banners for the galleries.

Hope this gets cleared up here, because I like the idea as well!


If you're looking to have the true amateur feel, ishotmyself.com is out there...I believe they're pretty finicky about affiliates, but it's really good amateur stuff! (And lots of hot punk girls, YAY!)...

If you are talking about a community site where members upload their own content, sure, plenty of it is real and plenty of it is stolen. Sites like that are typically not U.S. owned and operated and it's tough to enforce U.S. copyright infringement laws in other countries, especially if they are also hosted abroad.

Does that make it right? Hell no, and I'm surprised at you Pyratas. And what the hell? Hosting outside of the U.S.? Have you been living under a rock. If you live in the U.S. it doesn't matter where you host the site. And promoting AFF? Haven't you been reading anything about them and Zango lately or do you like the idea that they aligned themselves with a company that steals from their affiliates?

As for grabbing photos of models that look 25, good luck with that one. The government doesn't look at your site and decide that your models look old enough before they decide to inspect you, and if your site looks like it might have illegally obtained content, they'll be even more happy to pay you a visit looking for documents they know you don't have.

Hammer is right, Pyratas, I would be very careful with using anything off of usenet etc.

But what's the deal with AFF? I did not hear anything about them and Zango. Although I see more and more of that kind of stuff where content is ripped off from affiliates.

As far as hosting abroad, you need to talk to a lawyer before setting up an offshore company. I'm small fry and a noob, but I did have an interesting chat with a more experienced webmaster who told me about setting up offshore companies. No it won't protect you if you live in the US as Hammer said but there are ways of setting up what is essentially a dummy corporation in some south pacific island, etc. but it's more involved than just having it hosted somewhere outside the country.

I shot myself says you can become an affiliate if you are certain you can send them 2K uniques a day or some shit like that. Bogus. And too bad.

There's a guy doing federal time for actually operating gambling sites in the bahamas (he was actually there so this isn't even dummy companies). He tried to come to the US to clear it up and they stuck him in jail. His partners stayed in the bahamas. He was interviewed on 60 minutes.

When the feds want you they got you. Gambling is different than porn because their are different laws that involve RICO but as far as setting up companies it's the same deal.

If you're going to operate out of the country stay there. Why the fuck would you want to come back if you had things going good somewhere else anyway.

I heard about that guy. I think there was another gambling guy operating out of Gibraltar or Jersey who got nailed just changing planes in the US.
