Error Log Can I get rid of these errors

I always see clients trying to access

public_html/MSOffice/cltreq.asp
public_html/_vti_bin/owssvr.dll
public_html/stats/stats.gif


I have been told its because Microsoft office trys to access something in your site in some cases when people have it open or something along that lines.

Its not a big problem I just get tired of seeing the File Does Not exist in my logs for these annoying entries and was wondering if there was a good way to fix it up

You could probably create dummy files with that name and extension, but I'm not sure how that would affect the surfer whose system will then find them and get errors.
