Page Peel Ads? anyone use them, what do you think?

I added a page peel ad to the corner of my website which is geared to other webmasters. I was thinking of making a lot of them directed towards surfers for different sponsor's websites (ifriends etc.).

I know this is not something new, but I haven't seen a lot of sites out there using it. I thought I would give them a try.

Do you feel that these ads are effective when targeting webmasters? tageting surfers?

Do you like it? If not why?

What do you think can be done to make them more effective?

Has anyone used them before?

All I can say so far is that I've had it on my blog for about a day and that peel away ad is getting about a 20% click through rate. Maybe it's just the pic of my wife's ass though.

Yes, but it has to be kinda small cause it's not too wide. Price will depend on where you want the Ass Ad displayed.

Why would he be surfing an adult webmaster's blog site without viewing the ads?

I don't go to porn sites looking for porn.....I got to find content that I know I could potentially sell..... But I WANNA see the ads they use! Always!

When I go to peer groups, I go for advice, friendly conversation, and most importantly MARKETING STRATEGIES....Not copying or stealing, but IDEAS!

Gotta wonder why he's on your site to begin with.......

Hell, that's what you WANT to see if you're a webmaster........How other's are making their money and getting ideas for yourself?

That actually is a pretty slick script. I'm working on a site for a mainstream client and they're gonna think I'm a genius when I throw that on there. No need to tell them it's a canned script

I have to say I like the sales page for the $8 one. The other one was a bit too hardsell for me although the script may be better, who knows.

mynameisjim, depending on what type of clients they are, they probably have no clue what a canned script is anyway.

The one I bought the $27 one from sounds like an info comercial.

It is sad, that guy has no shame.

the one i got had a rotation version so you could add multiple ads and it would randomly display them not sure if the $8 one has that. Other then that they have to be pretty much the same, they do the same thing.

I haven't tested it yet, but from what i can see you can choose either you want a sticky ad or want to rotate multiple ad's.

The $27 script is on a "clickbank" page, so no wonder that one is overprised.

I allso found a german site that sells the script, but i do belive that was only a affiliate site build for the $27 script.

Me think i will be more than happy with the $8 script, and i will allso have $19 to spare, so i can order something from the .99 menu

I'm using the $8 script and yes, it does have a rotation option as well. To be honest, the $8 script is easier to work with.

I agree about the infomercial look of the site selling the $27 script. It makes it look like a scam, but it's not, it works and is the one Will is using.

Since they both do exactly the same thing, I don't see the point in paying the extra $19, but hey, I make more off of that one so knock yourselves out if you want to show off how rich you are like Will, then go for it.

Hammer Uncut is a blog run by an adult webmaster but is not an adult webmaster blog. It's mainstream. Hence, this guy thinks that I shouldn't use ads and should get a job to pay for the costs of running the site. LOL

I don't think he understands a few simple concepts, like free enterprise and capitalism.

He's on my site because he likes to read what I have to say. He just doesn't think he should have to look at ads while he's doing it and that I should take the time to write stuff he likes to read, for free.

Hey! I clean hotel rooms by day and have a paper route by night. The only reason I charge for my site is because I haven't got a job that I can squeeze in on midnights yet. "Owned" should not have to put up with annoying ads while surfing on his hard earned time!
C'mon fellow webmasters. If we all put in a little extra time at the office, we could make "Owneds'"

Don't know when I'll use it but I'm sure I'tll come in handy some day. Very cool.
