Content: cheap or free?

I am looking to purchase content for my free site. I do know were to buy, but it seems very...umm..does not go with the theme of my site.

I am looking to buy cheap because my theme is cheap (street hookers and average-below average looking women). I like girls who look nasty. However I am having a hard time finding content that is shot outside, prefferably on the street.

Because you build free sites to promote sponsor sites. If you're trying to promote sponser sites, that sponser will provide you with content in their affiliate section to promote their sites. You can only use THAT content THAT sponser provides in their affiliate section to promote THAT sponser's content.

You can purchase content as you're requesting which will allow you to promote sponsers of your choice, but you just hit your first dilemma in doing so (theme).

I think you were just asking about building sites the other day and if that is the case. I wouldn't waste my money on any specific content at this point until you get some galleries, free sites or blogs up.

Cheap looking women does not always mean low cost when it comes to buying content. Obviously the supermodels will cost more, but you need to be carefull when buying 'low budget' content.
Remember the old saying "You get what you pay for." You might want a nasty looking ho' for your content, but you still want quality photos and video. You don't want blurry, out of focus, and distorted crap with inadequate lighting. Your surfers still need to be able to see whats happening. If your content looks like it was capured on a Fisher-Price toy, then they probobly will not be willing to pay for it.

Because then the owner of the site OWNS the traffic. I know many speak of owning it, but if you're feeding off sponsors content how can you switch the traffic?

I see a new way to drive traffic happening. You drive traffic to your own site, IE can be a blog or review site, from here you redirect it. qualify that you're on the surfers side, gain him as a bookmarker and UPSELL and CROSS SELL him as you want to.

If down the line you fall out with the sponsor, he stops converting like he did, you can move the traffic leaving YOUR site to another sponsor.

Plus down the line you can open your own sites.

Better way than submitting 100s of galleries that go straight to a sponsor and can never be changed?

You think? Might work for blogs, but changing the html on most galleries and i think most free sites will get you black-listed, not to mention the work it would consist of. You're better off changing your hub central, which you can do after you learn how to build the galleries and free site properly and letting the surfer work backwards from pages that are already in place.

I take it you mean you'd have to prepare for this in the beginning with links that don't go directly to the sponser with your own tours or at least a sales page. But then you wouldn't even need ot worry about the free content, correct?

Enlighten me. I always try out sponsors that don't do shit for me and would love to be able to flip them off without any consequences.

You don't need to change the galleries on the free sites. They are aiming traffic to your site. From your site you sort it and filter it to where you want it to go.

If a sponsor will give you content that you can send to your own site first you do not need to buy, but don't see many sponsors allowing that.

Still not clear to me but I'm still not a super wiz at this stuff.

Keeping in mind that most people who surf the web these days (after their first week of owning a computer that is) is to delete the directories and extensions to get back to the home page to see what they are dealing with instead of following links (especially if it's adult stuff), doesn't this allow you the benefits of getting sponser sign ups while also permitting you the benefit of placing anything you want at your main domain page and leading the surfer off from that direction.

I think we're basically talking about the same thing but from two different surfing methods. Curious because I'm reevaluating a lot of stuff myself now (mainly complete site overhauls).

My concern is why ever remove anything that might get you a sign up instead of just adding building another gallery for another sponser which is faster and should add even more traffic taking into consideration my suggestion on this method of surfing. The sponser has no say over what you put on your main page as long as it's not illegal. Not that I'm saying purchasing content has no value, although I'm not sure it will have any for him since I do think he was earlier asking how to build a free site.

There are always scenarios which can happen. Just last month I was checking my links and discovered that one of my sponsors had quietly gone out of business... I had to hunt down links and remove them, dump any of their content that I might be using and remove it, and redirect blog entrys to a functional site. Its rare, but it happens. You will never gain sales be keeping a gallery that points to a website that does not exist. Thats just one example.

Can understand that one. What did you do about submitted galleries? I'm under the understanding that if you change html on submitted galleries tgp's blacklist you.

Haven't yet had to deal with your situation yet. I only have unproductive sponsers that I let sink into the system

Yes, Paul, I understand why someone would buy cheap non exclusive content to promote a sponsor's site, but like we said, it's going to be tough to find a lot of this specific kind of content. Then we started talking about shooting his own or buying exclusive from someone else. That's the part that makes no sense for someone talking about free sites.

Would you want to send traffic to a site that stopped converting?

A site that closed?

A site that converted at 1-2,000 when you had sites that convert at 1-200?

A site that pays out $40 a join or a site that pays $20 a join on the same ratio.

Do you want a surfer to bookmark your site or the TGP site?

Do you want type in traffic to go to you or the sponsor?

That's 6 reasons and I'm sure there are more. Submitting galleries aimed at your site puts you in the driving seat. You can keep the poor performing links on your site for as long as you like. But you can also change them to sites you prefer down the line.
