How many posts for a new blog before you launch?

Started on some new blogs this week. I wrote about 25 posts on one in the past week, and I did some of those manual and automated SE submissions and did some blog pinging. I suppose for the next thing, I should submit to blog directories and search engines and then try to exchange some links, build pr, etc. Baby steps, you know.

Anyway, any opinions about if its better to wait to have a lot more content, indexed or not, before submitting to directories and link lists? I have the week off and can write porn copy pretty quickly so I'm tempted to keep building more pages and posts.

I've launched them with as little as 6 posts and as much as 40 or more. It doesn't seem to have any different effect no matter what I do. I start out with a few thousand hits and it tapers down to a few hundred a day. Some days they do lots more than that; other days a lot less.

Presently I'm trying out a suggestion Hammer made in one of his posts about linking galleries to them. I launched this one with thirty and I'm adding one or two galleries a day as new posts. I think he's right and it might make a good traffic hub. I'll keep you posted as to if this has any different effect as far as traffic goes.

I'm not very good at the blogging, but I do get rare sign ups from them.

I should mention these are for the most part splogs...

Hey, now do pray tell or hint, what magic trick you use to START OFF with several thousand hits a day. The only way that's happened to me is when I got mentions on more established blogs with a shitload of traffic.

As far as linking galleries, I'm not sure what you mean. You mean building own galleries on a separate domain to link to your blog?

I have lots of text you can copy and paste and soon will be doing an automated RSS feed that will alter words so they are not all the same text.

My feelings on everything is to build bookmarkers. Getting the surfer is only half the task, giving him something interesting and honest enough to come back to is the tough part and the most profitable.

Actually I just dump them to actual blog listers (a couple guys using blog posting sites) and of course as many free site listings that now have a blog column.

And or course I feed them all from another blog.

No, the galleries I have have already been posted and sent around to all the tgp's, (so I guess this wouldn't be an actual splog [oops - sorry]). These would be considered original posts as oppossed to pulling predesigned feeds and stuff. I have around a hundred or so on each domain so I'm just dropping a couple pics, sizing and linking with the text I use to write the galleries (yes I use text on my galleries for seo).

This is the first time I'm trying it by linking up the entire site. I want to see what the effect is. If it's effective I'll do it to all of them and just let the posts rotate.

Personally I think the best thing about blogging is that it's cutting down the competition on the gallery submitters but that's just me. If I could come up with a meaningful orginal blog, I'd probably like it a lot better

I also think that it depends on which affiliate you're using for which method you want to use. Ultimately porn is visual medium for the most part, so text is just getting you seo help. I'm not one who thinks it matters much in making a sale.
