Because in one case you're paying to advertise and they have plenty of traffic looking for porn, so they'll take your money. In the case of Adsense, other people's ads show up on your site and no one wants to put Adsense ads on their family site and have porn ads showing up.

It's been a while but I'm not sure you can use an affiliate code when setting up your adwords campaign, but I may be wrong.

Also, didn't adwords announce they were stopping adult advertisers next month or something like that.

I'd look it up but I'm a bit lazy right now.

I would never pay to send traffic to a blog or linklist.

I didn't say I wouldn't send traffic to a blog or linklist, I said I wouldn't pay for it. There's too much free stuff on a typical linklist or blog to pay to send any traffic to them.

From experience I can tell you that using PPC to promote the same sponsor site as a hundred other webmasters is not a great idea, but if you're going to try it, send the traffic straight to the main tour page. Do not send it directly to the join page or a gallery.

If someone goes to a search engine looking for big tits and you have an ad for big tits, do you think sending them straight to the join page is going to work before they've even seen the site? And using PPC to send traffic to a gallery is just throwing money away.

PPC is not as easy as it once was and I stopped using it two years ago and I assume it's an even tighter game now.

If you are new to PPC you will lose money before you make money, I can almost guarantee that.

You keep reading things I'm not saying. When did I say I never bought PPC? I use PPC all the time. I use Google Adwords for Porn Site Pros and pay up to $.35 a click and I've used PPC for webcam sites with success. What I said was that I would never send PPC traffic to a sponsor's site.

In the case of the webcam sites, I build my own tours and send the traffic there.

I have new clients that are making $2k a month within a few months, so I know what I would tell someone to do, but before I tell you what YOU can do with what you've already got, I need to know what we're talking about.

You originally asked about sending traffic to SPONSOR'S sites and yet you have a pay site in your sig that I'm guessing is yours. Are we talking about Dimes Next Door? If so, I'm not sure why you asked about sponsor galleries.

Obviously my answers will be different if we're talking about using PPC for your own pay site that they would if you were talking about using it for a sonsor's site, but in your first post you specifically said 'sponsor gallery/join page'.

If it's to your own paysite then PPC can work, assuming that you have a tour that converts well.
