Google woes - any suggestions?
I still completely don't understand what I'm doing wrong and what if at all, I'm doing right with this blogging thing.
Hammer and Balls, you guys already gave great advice so you can skip this one. So here are my woes. Good part - a few good hardlinks, pr4, steady traffic (though small) and fairly productive conversions for the amount of traffic I do get. Bad part - practically zero hits from google unless it's google spain or google sweden. I've been paying more attention to the post subject copy, the alt copy and my metas. I installed the sitemap and seo plugin into WP. I did the sitemap thing in webmaster tools. I use technorati tags and ping my ass off. As far as I can tell I'm getting practically no SE hits at least not from goog. What gives? |

There is a whole bunch more to it than your copywriting. Meaning the copy, metas and alts.
Can't really offer any advice at all without knowing the domain your referencing. Could be way to many things to speculate. I'd love to take a look and see if I noticing anything right off the bat.

How are your permalinks set up? What is your domain name?
If you picked what you feel would be your most popular keyword or search phrase that people would use to find your type of site, are you coming up on the first page of results on Google? How much text are you adding in each text? How often do you post? |

Your site is not hated by google.
Out of 128 pages indexed about 20 are not in supplemental which isn't that bad as new blogs are all going 100% supplemental according to google's new rules. How many uniques are you getting a day? With 128 pages indexed and only being 3 months old you won't get hundreds of thousands of uniques. I would fix the www non www issue, might give you a bit of a boost and pull a few more pages out of supplemental. From what I see you have a good foundation. Keep posting and building links and in a few months the traffic will come. P.S. What's that theme called? |

With hundreds of thousands of porn blogs, maybe millions, and millions of porn sites, just what kind of Google traffic are you expecting?
I think maybe you have some unrealistic expectations. Results 1 - 10 of about 2,330,000 for shaved pussy If someone searches for 'shaved pussy' and there are 2.3 million results, what are the odds you're going to get on the first page?

phuckbunny, you and i started a new blog about the same time, and it seems we are getting similar results. I think you should just concentrate on making your site the best you possibly can and continue to build content on that domain. I'm pretty certain that we are still in the sandbox and like you i'm barely getting any SE traffic on the new blog.
This will change. My first blog attempt is now out of the sandbox and that domain gets more SE hits on the first day of the month than my latest blog gets all month. I think we should both keep at this latest blogging attempt and one day google will throw us out of the sandbox and the traffic will start coming in. Keep your blog text rich, and use those tags! Right now MSN likes me much more than google on both my blogs. Be patient young bedowin one day your google-fu will be strong.

I think the moral here is stop trying to 2nd guess google and rather focus on putting out unique quality content, eventually google will find you.
Bd - how do you know when you are out of the sandbox? |

razor, you should see a drastic change in your search string results. IE more traffic coming from google.
I made a post about this several months ago, check the archives. Your stay in the sandbox is different depending on how they classify your site, but the good info on the google sandbox is still under lock and key. Damn You Google! Sites registered prior to 2004 are immune from the sandbox if i remember correctly.

My non-blogs came out at almost exactly 6 months. Google still doesn't send much traffic though. Be patient as it takes time. While you are waiting explore other sources of traffic and don't forget Yahoo who is quite friendly to newer sites.

You will never do good without inbound links and you can't really get links until people see your site. Which is why the google rankings are sort of a self fulfilling prophecy. Plus, google is putting more and more responsibility on webmasters to make their sites compliant with how they index and rank pages. So a webmaster with awesome content to produce and no idea of optimizing it will probably have a very hard time getting off the ground unless the catch a break somewhere. But like Hammer said and I alluded too in my earlier post, you're not going to get all that much SE traffic with only one or two hundred pages, especially for hotly contested keywords. |

You need totally individual content to do well in Google. You also need a good amount of good inbound links.
You could always try writing a story about one of the models on your site, submitting it to digg and link to your site. You can also do this with Wikipedia bud if it’s a popular model and your site is no good this not last long.

Fuck google, there are hundreds of other ways to bring traffic, and while you are working with those you might be lucky to pick up some really good SE traffic.

Hey all, thanks for all the posts.
Viking is right in a lot of ways. I am after all still making money every day despite being a total noob and the sales I get come from virtually zero SE hits. I know, I'm trying to second-guess google but I see really lame, NEW blogs, and they get higher results than mine, and I try to balance the splogging/blogging thing and throw in some relatively "meaningful" written content for whatever that's worth. Hammer helped me out with the permalinks and alt text. Thx Hammer. The blog is http://www.bisexland.com The focus is on MMF bi threesomes, bi orgies and M/F strapon sex. This should be a well converting niche, less saturated than shemale for sure, though part of the problem is finding new content. I'm not expecting tremendous traffic but I'm averaging aroudn 500 uniques a day. I think that's pretty poor and mostly I think it's poor in comparison with some of the lame blogs I see getting higher SE results. I should certainly be gettting better SE results for 'bisexual porn' or bi mmf porn than 'shaved pussy, Hammer, shouldn't I? There's only about a dozen sponsors in that niche anyway and half of them use the same content. I'm trying to find the better looking stuff, and I do get conversions. I make sure to write plenty of text, though I need a new blog with a new niche soon as I am getting burned out on writing the same variation on theme. But I can still "keep it up" for while. Thing that I don't get and what gets me PO'd is mostly how I see really lame thumblogger blogs with 20 indexed pages get way better SE results than me from the old goog and it makes me wonder what I'm doing wrong. I could stay up all night and write dozens of more posts per day if I need to to get more pages indexed but what if it's doing jack for my SE results as it is now? FUCK google is right! I'll keep posting daily and working on it, but I really feel as if I'm doing something wrong.

As an example. I could take a week off and write a post about every FHG I get from my sponsors and end up with several thousand indexed pages. What then, if I'm still not showing up in high results? I am working on getting inbound links and it IS paying off but.... Grrrr

Seeing a crappy site at the top of the serps is pretty normal.
I posted a while back about my own crappy RSS fed blog that ranks on the first page for a sponsor name among other terms while my hand written blog, with stories and other stuff got de-indexed. But I have another tranny blog that went right to the first page for some great keywords. No sandbox, no links, it just went to the front of the line for reasons unknown and it seems to be staying there . Point is, just do what is proven to work with the search engines and then try to make a decent site surfers will like. Also, the more blogs you make the more you will get one that does well. |

phuckbunny, as this is the first time i saw your site. Did you decide to bend 2257 a bit, or are you allowed to show as much cock as you want?
Before i get blasted I should add, I don't show male content so I'm unfamiliar of the particulars pertaining to it.

Ballsdeep has a good point about 2257, as the shitstorm is about to hit us. He mentioned it so I looked up your domain in projectwhois to see if you were in the states or not, your SEO score was pretty darn bad there. Type SEO or search engine optimization in google and read what comes up. I am no expert by any means but you can definitely do better with your metas, alts, keywords, etc...
