You can search the forum for topics of interest, such as cam sites or legal issues.

The best advice you'll get for legal is to hire a lawyer.

um.. read up at the cozys, look at what kind of market you are trying to break, this isn't get rich quick, and hope you like it...

That was my thought exactly.

Not to sound like the aforementioned asshole, but this very question has been answered many, many times in great detail on this site by many, many people here.
Use the search function. Seriously. It works, and you will get more info than you can handle. From there, its up to you to figure out what to do with all the facts.

My short answer is this:
WHAT YOU NEED TO START A SUCCESSFUL CAM SITE:
A truckload of money.

C'mon, what's wrong with all you smart veterans that have spent years and lots of money learning everything you know. Why are you being so rude? Isn't it his God-given right to demand that you teach him everything you know?

Read everything that has been posted and take it to heart. All of it can benefit you if you let it. Take some time to study the tutorials at cozyacademy. After you have learned the basics then people will be glad to help you with specific challenges. Besides, after 21 months and 10 posts, I'm sure your fingers and keyboard could use a break.

Seriously, kick some knowledge at cozycampus. There is no tuition and all you are investing is some time and effort. If you do not want to invest time and effort, you should not consider going into any business on your own.

My best advice? Get yourself a good lawyer who is EXTREMELY knowledgable in the adult industry. If you're trying to break into the biz blindly, you will undoubtedly leave yourself susceptible to some serious legal woes along the way.

Of all the categories you could have selected, cams are definitely not cheap in the start-up phase.... You might even do yourself justice to sign up to some of your potential competitors' programs and see what's going on... sounds like you're at the very beginning of a loooooong road... not impossible, but much to consider.

Step 1: Buy a vacant building in Eastern Europe and furnish it with bed sheets for walls.

Step 2: Fill the building with 40 year old Russian hookers posing as "college girls".

Step 3: Devise the most confusing subscription levels possible so that nobody knows how much money they have spent until their credit card bill comes.

Step 4: Count all the money.

Don't get discouraged. You just happened to pick a really tough start-up for a total beginner and even an expert with deep pockets for that matter.

As you study up, try to promote some of the bigger webcam sites to get a feel for how they work. You'll learn quite a bit and make a few bucks in the process.
