What's the best niche to start with?

Big Asses

go with whatever niche you like the most. Don't start a tranny site if you can't take looking at it all day long.

there is a market for each of the niches you listed, but to say that one converts better than another is just a matter of opinion.

your design will determine the success of your selected niche. There are surfers out there looking for everything in your list, but to say that one sells more than the other. it is just a matter of who is selling it.

Big tits is about as saturated as teens.

Other than that the ones in your list are all about equal, and I agree with Balls Deep, the site will be what you make it.

My point was that those general niches you wrote a list of is so heavily promoted that you will see some extreme bad ratios, and allso have to be prepared to spend a nice chunk of cash to come up with enough traffic to see some numbers that are not red.

I think your choice needs to be a matrix of where different variable instersect, such as.


1) What do you like, or what can you fake to like.

2) Number of good sponsors with enough promo tools to do what you want.

3) Amount of saturation.

Exactly. Liking or faking to like is key. Almost everything is saturated. If you can get the hang of writing porn copy though, you can probably fake to like almost anything, because a lot of it can actually be pretty fucking hilarious. But as Balls said, if you can't stand to look at something much less write about it several hours a day, steer clear. I can write about any niche except the extreme abusive stuff which I can't stand, but to each his own.

I was thinking of looking into tickling fetish b/c that might be fun to write about, but I don't know how much content is available. I'm not kidding.

This is an interesting post and something I've been thinking about. I seem to have begun specialising in the blowjob niche. I've become familiar with the main sources of traffic, the best converting sponsors, I never tire of looking at a pic of a guy getting his dick sucked by a babe and I've also learn't to describe the act in about 1,000 different ways. I had started branching out into MILF and BBW and some others, but those niches don't interest me and I can't fake it.

With regards to finding enough content to update your niche blog regularly : is it essential to update every single day to build repeat traffic? Most of my traffic is still just recip link, directory and S.E. I was updating 2 or 3 times a week, but now I'm going to try for every day and I hope to see some more visitors bookmarking.

Thanks for the advice. A follow up question is how much content do you actually update per day? Technically, we could dump every link a sponsor offers on to the site per day. But I'm sure that would not yield the desired traffic result. Is there a magic number to the number of links you add to the site each day?

I haven't a clue how to straddle the 'giving too much away for free' dilemma with the exception of what I saw on queerclick and also on some abby winters blog, where instead of linking to FHGs they use rather large images that link directly to the join page. The downturn is 2257 if you're a Yank.

Let me sidetrack for a second - I'm considering adding message boards for future blogs particularly if dealing with micro-niches. Any opinions about how well this works for attracting traffic? I use phpbb for a non-adult site. It's very prone to spam registrations.

I'm doing 1-2 posts a day on my one blog. My strategy is to set up more blogs on free hosts and build other niche blogs but I'm also trying to figure out other methods for more traffic, hence the bulletin board thing.

I'm making money but still in the sandbox. My google hits come from google.fr, google.se, google.ca, etc., but I'm doing okay with msn and yahoo. Still, I'm banging my head against the wall for what I can do for better SEO.
