Should I return to my old blog or start a new one?

Hey guys,

Around December/January of last year I started a niche blog. It did OK with sales, but after awhile I stopped keeping up with it.

I know I want to run a blog in the same niche, but I am wondering should I return to my old blog or start a brand new one in the same niche. Even now, every once in a while, I still get a sale from it, so I'm wondering what the experts opinions are.

never mind. I just looked at my stats and it is pretty obvious that I should continue with the old blog. I might make some new blogs that act as feeder blogs to my old one, however.

You can always revive a dying site. Usually easier than starting from scratch especially when it comes to SE traffic. That is unless the site is blacklisted or something.

Sounds like you're making the right decision.

If the site was already making sales, and it is getting some traffic, it has a big head start over any new site you try to start up.

Regular love and care to any site will improve it's performance.

I would advice to return to your old blog and give it a bit live again, some new blog posts. Because in general it is easier to grow a matured site then a brand new site. Of course this is not true when the site reputation (not ranked on search engines) is bad. When your site reputation is bad then you are better off creating a brand new site.
