Here's My 6 Month Report

Hello to all the cozy newbs!

Every once in a while i get the ambition to write my trials and tribulations for everyone.

I just hit the 6 month mark in my attempt to take over the adult world via the WWW. It has been a struggle to say the least. My first 3 months were a complete disaster consisting of an aimless ploy to flood the internet with free porn (bad idea).

Since then I finally figured out that at first i should be focusing on a single site rather than just creating a page, throwing it up, and forgetting about it. It took about 3 dedicated tries on the same niche to design a site that is actually selling porn with a decent conversion rate.

Although I have been trying this for months I am just now seeing a return. I have spent very little money as I figure that I needed to figure out the basics before aimlessly throwing money at the industry, and lately i have expanded my adult budget which is producing even more return.

I am just now seeing a productive return on my time and dedication. My point being... this shit takes time. Jumping in with no experience has been an adventure and i am just beginning to assess my position and further goals.

Don't be discouraged by your initial failures. Find out why they failed and change it.

Thanks Cozy, I think I've graduated from freshman to junior. But I still got a long way to go.

When the checks come in, it reminds you of why you started in the first place.

Funny though, I wasn''t making a dime for MONTHS and kept updating anyway...

....So there's still the love of porn, creativity, and marketing.

With the checks I get--they go to modeling fees for photos and videos, to start a new paysite endeavor.

I'm a little scared, as I'm still new to the free stuff, and have barely just taken off. Yet, a paysite is a whole different monster!

Glad to hear that your are enjoying this as much as I am. I too, have just started to profit, but things are working out, so now time to work on the next step!

P.S. Next time write a fake post about how the adult market is too tough and you have lost everything. This should help discourage some up and coming competition.

It feels so bloody awesome when the cheques just start to roll and you can see a gradual (or incredible) increase in your profits from month to month. I still thrill in it, and I've been doing this for awhile now.

It's great to see like minded people in the same boat with the same passion.
It's fun trying to take it to the next level. I remember when we got our first sale, then our first cheque. Then getting to the point where we made the minimum and got a cheque every week.
Now we've just got to make it a primary source of income.
There's a show in Canada called Web Dreams about new pornmeisters trying to make it on the web and it amazes me how far my guy and I have come. Compared to these people that actually got on TV we're miles ahead. It's kind of funny.

I did the same thing as you BD. Jumped in feet first and flood the gigerweb with as much shit sponsor content as I could find into 1 domain.

Lesson learned.

I did some house cleaning, cut back, changed my perspective and can now FINALLY see my traffic start to increase the way it should.

My first domain with all the flooding got about 200 uniques the first 2 months. I just recently put up another site but spent some time with it. Hit over 2k in its first 3 weeks.

Still no sales yet, but at least im getting the traffic coming in now. Just need to optimize my pages to make the sales now... once I figure that out

Hey fritz, don't be discouraged. I had only one sale for a few months under my belt, keep at it and you will see a return. I am far from where I want to be but It took this long to get here. Right now i can pay my server and some content fee's with sales.

Don't be afraid to branch out and try new things, some of my latest success is due to moving away from just blogs and into some of the other aspects of the industry while i drive traffic to the blog.

I wrote this thread to encourage others and now i am the one encouraged.

It's true, it take time and dedication, I'm just starting to understand a few things, but still so many confusing one.... But I'm a hard worker, so I know I'll make it.
