Newbie needs Wordpress Help
Hi there,
Any Wordpress experts out there? I need help with setting up the Photopress plugin so that the photos I upload link to my sponsor's page rather than directing the surfer to an image album. I'm new to Wordpress and for the life of me can't figure this one out. Do I need another plugin to do this? Would appreciate any help if someone's willing to give it. :-) Thanks

what are you trying to accomplish? there might be an easier solution than photopress.

Well, I want to upload an image with my post and have that image link to a sponsor's FHG, but right now, because I'm using Photopress, my photos link to an image album on my blog. Should I just use the upload feature instead of Photopress? I figured with using the plugin, I could have a gallery of images as well, but it seems I can't create links from those images. Essentially, I want to be able to provide a thumbnail image with the post, but when the reader clicks on the image they get a larger pic with a link to my sponsor's FHG. Hope that explanation was clear enough.

i don't see why you need photopress to do this?
Just put the image in your post and link the image to the FHG url. maybe i'm misunderstanding what you want to do? take a look at my blog, in the sig is this what you want to do?

Hey balls_deep,
Thanks for responding and helping me out. Here's an example of what I want to do- http://starvedcumslut.thumblogger.co...-dress-up.html When you click on the pic, it takes you to another page that is somewhat of a mini gallery which in turn links to the sponsor's FHG. I guess I could take that step out and just link directly to the FHG, but I wanted to offer the option of having an image gallery on my site as well. I dunno, is that lame? I appreciate your help. -coco

Yeah, I think the extra gallery is too much.
If all the thumbs linked to different galleries it might be appropriate but they all go to the same page.

from what i gather clicking your links, i think you are trying to create your own gallery in between you and the sponsor?
If this is the case i think you would do better to link your sponsors fhg or creating your own galleries. As the blog link you sent me to wouldnt sell as well as a targeted gallery, IMO.

Were you wanting to make babeblogs style posts, sortof like so
http://babeblog.thumbblogs.com if so you'll need either wankmaster's photopress hack or zippedblogs plugin.
