Hard Link Information

So Im getting some requests for hardlink exchanges and im doing my best to try not to sound too newbish, but just need some info.

What information is usually exchanged with hardlink trades? Is it just a simple link or perhaps a link with some descriptive text?

Just want to know what to send and what to expect back.

hardlinks are for us webmasters to increase our SE relevance (page rank) and traffic.

A hardlink is a link that will be indexed by the SE when it crawls your page.

you can have hardlinks on a links page but most exchange on their main page as to benefit traffic.

so you know a hardlink is just a link to another page that doesn't go away (like toplist links sometimes do).

trade hard links with sites that relate to yours and you will increase your targeted traffic.

Thanks BD, I already knew that, but was just wondering what I have to send to the person I am exchanging with.

Do they want me to code what I want on their side? tags and shit and stuff like that or do I just say "link to site X please"

its a rather simple request. I usually just e-mail the website owner and say something like.

hello,

i own and operate mysuperwebsite.com and am interested in exchanging hardlinks with your site lotsoftraffic.com.

I will post a recip on my main index page hidden in a wall of text that no one will ever click on. I have other option available if this does not suffice.

If interested please contact me here.

You're anchor text and you're url.

example:

anchortext:
"CozyCampus Webmaster Board"

url:
"http://cozycampus.com/theforum"

Thats it.

If you are sending them a block with html you will just make it harder, as you have no idea how they are coding their site.
